Conventional wisdom that a QB's development is as dependent on coach competence as it is the athlete's ability seems to be rooted in reality. If the Purp have found a market advantage for this sort of thing I think it's great in a league that depends so much on QBs. Darnold seeing such marked improvement doesn't really surprise me overall. Hard to see Jones having that kind of ceiling but the Vikings are losing nothing on giving it a whack.
But he has never appeared on an injury report for it?!?!? Between that and the CMC debacle, seems like SF is due for some nfl-levied punishment
I don’t believe Josh Allen ever missed a practice for his hand that got smashed after a TD early in the year but he was on the practice report for like 7 weeks. Hard to imagine a guy with a fractured ankle was never limited. He just got taken off the injury report this week.
Brady was on the injury report for like two years with a shoulder injury. It’s a bit of gamesmanship.
Why did they let him have that press conference this morning? Like, did they just not know or felt like torturing him
They had a meeting scheduled but as we know Matt can’t read clocks so he missed it. I’ll take my lap.
ill always be proud of this post https://www.the-mainboard.com/index...-colts-dc-matt-eberflus.183060/#post-17580344
Are Baalke and Pederson not getting fired? If they are, why are they being allowed to spend future money like this?
Definitely read it as Baalke is staying. Signing a swing tackle to an extension during week 13 of a tank season is the most Baalke move you could ever imagine.
Shad Khan is such an unbelievable piece of shit. I think his only goal is to make money while inflicting the most amount of emotional damage to the jax fanbase.
lmao bro didn’t even do anything. He just moved his shovel around and threw snow back in the walkway that he just stepped down
Seems like if you're gonna drive all that way to do something that stupid, you'd at least buy some tickets for the actual game since you're there.
let people have their weird fun, folks. if the guy bonded with his dad shoveling snow in Bills stadium, cool.
depends on what you’re there for imo. one of the guys who went with us to chiefs-bills decided against a ticket because of the cost and watched at a bar with a bunch of people he met a block away and had a lot of fun. I’ve sold my ticket before and still gone out to tailgate at arrowhead and then watched the game on the bus in the parking lot and it was a lot of fun (especially since I had made a ton of money to sell)
not wrong but I think someone did say that they are paid $20/hr and are given food/drinks doesn't absolve that specific quote but it's not a volunteer/free thing
Well that’s different, but they made it seem Like it was a free service which would be fucking ridiculous
Was listening to a Jaylon Johnson interview and they pointed this out. Currently the Bears Pres, GM, asst GM, HC, and QB are black. Can anyone think of that happening before?
That's an absolute shit take. That would've been a hit that would've gotten your linebackers ass whipped by the other team in the god damn 90's. Like comon man
I will say the yeah the quote is absurd, but I do understand why Demeco would have a vested interests in trying to say the right thing to keep his guy from getting suspended. I seriously doubt he'd be saying this if that was CJ had taken a cheap head hunting shot that put him out of the game.
Sondra Williams, the wife of San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams, announced Monday that the couple had a son, Trenton Jr., who was stillborn on Nov. 24. https://bsky.app/profile/adamschefter-mirror.bluesky.bot/post/3lceec6gnft2s
Damn. That was a heavy read. Meaningless personal impression, I have a lot of respect for carrying through with the Jr. name knowing what they did and having already lost the twin.
I don't think it's all that absurd. I think he's protecting his guy because he kind of has to. I also think he's right about QBs taking advantage of the rules and putting defenders in horrible spots. We see it every week. Mahomes has done it multiple times this season near the sidelines where guys back off and he runs for 20+ more yards. Or guys fake like they're about to slide and then keep going. Doesn't change the hit from being awful and worthy of suspension, but there's merit to what he's saying.
I love when Shefter tweets about breaking news from sources, then minutes later the NFL releases an official memo.
It’s like….dude they have tons of pictures of you and video of you very clearly fucking head hunting Lawrence. I think he should’ve been suspended for the season but that’s just me. That wasn’t even remotely accidental
It shouldn't bother me at all because media people have been doing this for 15 years, but my current pet peeve of Schefter is that every time the Lions win, they post the video of Dan Campbell's locker room speech. And every week, Schefter creates a new tweet with the Lions' video and posts it on his own instead of just reposting the Lions' version so he can get the reposts and likes.
Guess I’ll have to be happy with three games vs the whole season. Christian Harris is supposed to be back post bye week so that could help. I really thought he’d get one game. I guess they’re tacking on his past behavior to send a message. Imagine the Texans will appeal but not sure if that kicks the can or will be resolved quickly.
Indy finishes with Bronco, Titans, Giants, Jags Houston finishes with Dolphins, Chiefs, Ravens, Titans AFC south may come down to the final week just like the past two seasons.
