You have a ways to go before you get to <40 scholarship players or whatever we had to end O's tenure.
one fucking player from the gators makes all sec and it’s our longsnapper and they put him down as a dawg. adding insult to injury. not that we really had anyone else deserving
These lists are always jokes. Domani Jackson was arguably our best defensive player and should have been 1st team over Moore and he wasn’t on the list at all.
Ole Miss having 5 All SEC DL and zero OL certainly feels about right based on the gamewatching experience.
Auburn has a relativel weak schedule vs normal years, as we did last year. Interested to see how we fuck this up
13 years since A&M started playing in the SEC and UGA still won't have gone to College Station. Meanwhile we're on trip #4.
Just flipping the home/road schedules from last year in a 16 team conference is so fucking lazy. The 8 game slate won’t change until ESPN pays for the 9th game, but they’ve got to figure out something better in 2026.
It'll be interesting if they adjust this next year when they do the 26 schedules. I assume they'll just rotate every team except 1 on to everyone's schedule. There are 13 available teams you can play outside your two permanents. So you've got 6 this year, then I assume 6 of the remaining 7 next (then they'll flip again?). Would be hilarious if A&M/UGA don't get on each other's schedule Could be some weird imbalanced schedules again. So would UGA drop Tennessee?
Miss State is our least played original SEC member school and next year will be our 5th time playing them in 9 seasons. No trip to CS and lose SCar game. I still can't believe they used the same conference schedule as 2024.
Hypothetically #Auburn Tigers 2026 could play At Bama & At UGA Then Texas, UF, LSU, Ole Miss, Scar, Miss State. 5-7 here we come Texas/UF/Scar could have final seasons of Manning, Lagway, Sellers.
I'm pretty sure they announced that this would be the case when they made the 2024 schedule, so it shouldn't be surprising.
Can confirm its not fun Georgia had to play at 3 top 15s + neutral Florida, and getting no credit yet again for beating Clemson. Was exhausting and expensive.
Hopefully the impasse between ESPN and the conference over 8/9 game schedules is resolved with the next CFP renegotiation in 2026, which I assume will get rid of autobids?
Weren’t UGA fans worried about the schedule getting stale and saying there weren’t enough power games to justify season tix?
think autobids will remain, autoseeds will go. Could be finalized January 20th iirc. think SEC will go with the 8 game through 2027 just to complete the current rotation of Tier1/Tier2 3+6. Also gives conference more time to see how expanded CFP operates.
Idk. I think the SEC and B1G will absolutely play hardball here. At the very least, they’re going to demand a set number of autobids.
In theory im ok w 8 games because it gives you space to play fun OOC games. But few take that chance and frankly it looks like there is no benefit to doing so under the new playoff. That was a lot of words to say I wish it was this way but never will be. Basically I just want to play kansas and/or Illinois every year. Or even a big 8 team
Tend to agree. Way CFP shook out this year, smart move says to stay at 8. Id rather get a look at what the new format is and machinations of it before rocking the boat, unless ESPN wants to throw a huge windfall at us (they wont).
I'm not sure what the point of that really is. Yeah it's locked in, but the SEC/B1G is going to get 7/8 every year. I can't imagine the other conferences letting the SEC/B1G get 4 each. If they fight for 3 each it seems like you're fighting for something that is pretty much automatic every year.
Like we saw with Alabama, you need to limit your OOC schedule so you don't get tripped up by those games and get left out.
it will/should flip for 2026/2027 but was always going to be tough to retain all 3 because of other rivalries
This was actually posted in response to being left off the Rimington list but seems even more applicable that he's not on a single all-SEC list.
