He's the CEO of McLaren racing, he doesn't have a race day duty. If you listen to the Beyond the Grid with him he even states his only purpose around the team is to do media because Stella doesn't want to.

Yup. Which is why there are races Zak isn't even there. Stella is the brains behind McLaren's turnaround.

In the absence of Toto-Horner weekly feud, Zak has been good for the sport.

 

Horner has been pretty low key this year, especially with the off track stuff. Brown shoves his face in front of any camera at any time

 

Well one has a reason for the media attention, the other is a buffoon. No other team CEO (outside of Toto who is also the TP) engages with the media like Zak, and he's been doing it ever since he got to F1.

 

Someone has to be the mouthpiece for a team, not sure why anyone has an issue with the CEO being that. I'm not a McClaren fan but I don't mind Zak at all.
