Just finished - man, post-race interviews… tough seeing Lando crumble live. Kid is fast as hell, but just doesn’t have the disposition needed it seems What a joke by Ferrari
Lando was given clear #1 preference in what’s been the fastest car for almost a year. McLaren wanted, badly, for him to become “the guy”. Lando is quick, but Oscar is “the guy” and after the last few weeks, I think everybody in the paddock knows it. Maybe, Lando too.
Is ocon going to get DQ’d for plank wear? Will Alex Albon beat George? Will the rain make ferarri do something stupid? Lmao at a Ferrari driven by Lewis Hamilton having to fight a haas
tl;dr - All the data supports Ferrari shouldn't have swapped at all and if they hadn't Charles would have caught Kimi.
Jack Doohan's time as an Alpine F1 race driver appears to be over after seven races. The Race understands Doohan was informed at the end of the Miami GP weekend that Alpine intends to make a change ➡️ www.the-race.com/formula-1/ja...— The Race (@wearetherace.bsky.social) 2025-05-05T15:31:15.325Z Colopinto in
and here i was expecting the news out of alpine to be doohan gone! (which im sure is still happening/happened)
Like clockwork Colton will be in the top 2 or 3 and his pit crew will fuck him up. Like more often than not he finishes 6-9 from the front row after a 15 second stop. Add that to IndyCar be worth nearly zero points as championship, and he’s not going to be able to get a super license.
Fucking Alpine. What a trash team. This past weekend was really epic for Lewis. He's finally calling out all the shit moves they've done basically since Brawn left. Strategy (in quotes) has been a disaster. Maybe they'll get smart.
Palou fumbling the McLaren bag and potential to be in Oscar’s seat right now is an all time oof-size-large.gif That’s the dude you want in your car rn if you’re looking outside the current F1 pool.

Can’t believe Doohan’s manager let him sign a deal that could get him replaced so soon. What’s that? His manager is actually the guy who just fired him? Flavio being his manager is so dirty
What's the cliffs of that whole thing? I had no idea that was the case. Fire him immediately. Talk to other teams about reserve driver role I'd have to think. He doesn't have a future at Alpine.
Pros: -it makes the teams more valuable because there is a set amount you can spend and still be relatively competitive -allows the teams at the bottom of the grid to close the gap with the top of the grid -less overall grid separation Cons: -prevents teams from spending enough to catch up to a runaway leader, tends to lock in an advantage for a long time (Red Bull, McLaren) Based on the past few years I think you could argue it's been good for the overall 1-10 team spread to close up. But when one team has a clear advantage other teams don't have a means to catch up and it makes for boring championship fights.
is this something F1 could implement and manage themselves if FIA takes it away or would that violate their contract between the two entities?
Instead of scrapping the cost cap, why not extend the gap between development time. I don't think $ is what is slowing development, A lack of wind tunnel time is probably the bigger issue.
It sounds like both. In the past you could be working on multiple solutions before you even get to the wind tunnel and most of the stuff is run through the computer models first now anyway. So it’s all about if your models are accurate so you don’t waste time in the tunnel
Or in Ferrari's case everything checks out on the computer and tunnel and they add it to the car and we go slower!!!
