Who could've imagined overhauling the front end suspension would lead to the rear end not working in harmony with the front... How many millions have they invested into this leadership and engineering group? Who OK'd the idea of two different concepts for the suspensions being ok to run in 2025. That person should be fired.
Great question, I think Loic Serras gardening leave being so long definitely hurt since those decisions were made well before he was in place. Also a lot of smoke last week about the 2026 engine being ass is not providing much hope.
The engine was what should've given them a major advantage going into 2026 because Ferrari was the only engine manufacture who kept a large portion of its engine in place and didn't fully rebuild for the hybrid era... things looking up!
Inverse cost cap to constructors and drivers aggregate standings, narrow the scope of capped expenses, uncap wind tunnel time, concurrent naturally aspirated and turbo formulas.
Not that I have much faith in Ferrari nailing the new regs, but I don’t put much faith in those engine rumors. They’re not coming from a reliable source.
Merc’ing it by setting their rolling road to the wrong setting and getting great results that are absolutely ass on track.
And they replaced it with a person who should be banned from the sport of F1... Alpine continues to be the worst F1 team in F1 and it's not close.
Shouldn't be in a big metal suitcase. His brother was an idiot for wearing a trench coat and asking the cop if he was the "Grey Fox."
The Race podcast has been a great recommendation. The history shows are awesome, the technical interesting.
F1 channel puts out some good content. The secret Santa is one of my wife’s favorite things (though it used to be better and this year wasn’t great)
I'm going to see it in IMax for sure... It looks fine. Probably along the line of a Days of Thunder, Rocky or Top Gun type story where rivals turn friends.
I don’t get to choose and won’t know until Saturday. I know quali more exciting and the better actual racing but the pomp and circumstance of race day sounds cool.
Not jealous in the slightest, I hope the champagne is slightly too warm and the caviar just above average
Lewis Hamilton’s influence on the world of Formula 1 is unmatched, and a new lucrative sponsorship deal proves it. Perplexity, an AI-powered answer engine, pushed aside its plans to sponsor a full Formula 1 team, instead settling on an individual partnership with Lewis Hamilton. Lewis Hamilton and Perplexity ink major deal Call it the “Lewis Hamilton effect.” Since he first started racing in Formula 1, the Briton’s magnetic personality has enticed fans and brands to support his career in ways that may have otherwise been unthinkable. Seven World Championships later, and Hamilton has continued to ascend, marking him out as a star not just in the motorsport scene, but in pop culture as a whole. Whether he’s offering his expertise as producer of Brad Pitt’s new F1 film, serving as a co-chair of the beloved Met Gala, or representing a world-class brand in a new marketing campaign, ‘Lewis Hamilton’ has become a name familiar to more than just the motorsport subset. And a new individual partnership with Perplexity proves it. Perplexity is a generative AI-powered search engine that synthesizes information in the aim of providing accurate responses to user-asked questions. Valued at around $9 billion, the company has been looking for new ways to promote itself — and the American brand turned to Formula 1. In a report from SportBusiness, it has been revealed that Perplexity “went through an evaluation process that included conversations with several F1 teams,” including Red Bull Racing, Aston Martin, and Williams. Lewis Hamilton, however, proved to be a better fit for Perplexity’s aims. “Whilst we looked at a variety of options across the grid, it was very clear that Lewis Hamilton was the best partner for us,” Perplexity vice president of business Ryan Foutty told SportBusiness. “We see a great opportunity to grow awareness of Perplexity and its capabilities through Lewis’s reach. The helmet branding exposure is significant and across his channels, he has a vast amount of fans who are really engaged and love following him.” Per Foutty, Perplexity has global aims. An American company, it’s looking to transcend regional boundaries to become a trusted AI search engine all around the world — and with F1 being a global sport “synonymous with speed and the pursuit of excellence,” Foutty felt it would be a great fit. “Perplexity is all about giving you fast, accurate answers to your questions and building on that it’s about curiosity – not just answering questions but continuing the curiosity and asking better questions,” he explained. “F1 is incredibly cerebral, it’s all about technical strategy and its fans very much mirror that, so there’s a great opportunity to introduce Perplexity to F1 fans around the world.” While Foutty did not elaborate on the specific aims that Perplexity was looking for in a partner that was not met by F1 teams, he did note that the goal is to “transcend” — and that’s something Hamilton does well. “With all his success he also stands for greatness and excellence and those are brand values that we want people to associate with Perplexity – the faster you learn, the better equipped you are to pursue excellence in whichever domain you’re in for us,” Foutty said. Per SportBusiness, this partnership will see a Perplexity logo on Hamilton’s helmet, as well as “collaborative content” on social media.

Has anyone been to the Canadian GP? Trying to figure out the easiest way to get to and from the circuit.
You need to cross a large bridge to get to the track. They close the bridge after the race so you are forced to walk over it. I believe the only way in back then was taxi. I assume nothing has changed and taking a uber/taxi is going to be the best way into and out of the race area. This EDIT: Just got a text back from my cousin who went last year and said he used the train system and it was a better experience. He got a weekend pass and they took it to and from. You still have a long walk but the wait for the train is not nearly as long as it is to grab a cab
weren't the mounties assholes last year and there were a lot of issues with the entrance and leaving the race site for fans?
There's definitely least one alternate universe where George Russell was the actor that played Joffrey
Search function sucks, but I know a number of us have described attending over the years. I stayed in a Travelodge (!) downtown like 20 years ago and just walked through Chinatown (I think?) all the way to the course. It was VERY hot (90F) that weekend, but otherwise 11/10 would rec.
Damn that crash was insane for Yuki. Amazing these cars can do that and let a driver walk away from a crash like that.
Lmao he crashed between when I copied the reddit link and opened this thread Fuckin’ Argentinians doing Argentine things. https://www.reddit.com/r/formula1/s/mz8De5DTPj
