i haven't read the full context of his quote because i'm an american and i choose not to read, but i'd doubt russell was saying he was better than hamilton when he was winning everything. i'd say it was comparing from when he joined the team hamilton and on. in that scenario, hamilton has in fact been pretty damn washed overall and just getting worse by the race whereas russell has just improved overall.
He’s claiming Lewis is washed to put himself over and that is just the ultimate cunty move. Or he’s saying he’s on par with one of the greatest drivers ever. how ever you slice it. Fuck him
Hadjar already has a super license, you have to have one to be an F1 driver. This is a preliminary procedure to get Lindblad ready to do some F1 tests this season to prep for a 2026 seat at VCarb or even take over Lawson's seat later this year.
You guys with reading comprehension & projection with regard to the George interview response - 99% of you hadn't even watched a full F1 race in 2021... Jesus Fuck
Man they fucked IndyCar real bad. Losing a Monaco lead in wasn’t great, but this will do some damage to their TV.
Couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a Lewis fan, and just stuck with Merc as they're not a dominant team... thinking Kimi could be exciting. Lewis was once dominant & is no longer... George inferred that the same dominance Max has enjoyed could change. There was no slight on Lewis, Max, or any other driver - Nor did he say anything more than 'he competed," which he's certainly done. Hate George all you want, but this is manufactured in your own minds. His most endearing quality for me, is that he seems to get under your skins effortlessly
I'm on record stating I like George because most here hate him... been many times I think the disdain is warranted, just not this once. Looking forward to Kimi in '26 - hopefully his learning curve is as steep as Oscar's & Merc gives him a car worth a shit
I expect Merc to be very competitive next year and Red Bull to be ass. Would be hilarious if George and Max switched seats.
Still think Max ends up at Aston Martin, if anywhere... but down the road, once he sees team pecking order with the new regs
They announced the time for Canada next year? Could it be a situation where it’s a late morning race to lead into Indy? I get they’re blood thirsty on money, but going eye to eye with Indy’s one international appeal race seems like a way to cut into both ratings.
Feel like there's rain at Indy on Raceday 99% of the time... & one drop causes delay. GP in the morning prevents them airing at the same time
Morning temps in Montreal in May could be detrimental as well. Knowing F1 they will schedule for 2:00 like normal and say fuck it
People who started watching in 2021 are now on their 5th season. That’s more than enough time to know the sport
Studded pirellis let’s go I have these on my van and they were great in snow this year. They can do it. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/pire...7AJwMJetw9Z3wRWKfMPGPNTRbulFSc-93EdZapwHrxhSU
Unless Mercedes can unlock that 100hp advantage it had over the field during its epic run, I don't know how I feel about Mercedes. Honestly I think reliability is going to be a huge concern and how much a team can untap from the engine will be the entire story next year. Let's hope we don't have a Alpine who's engine is currently so bad they have to run the lowest downforce not to be embarrassed each weekend
Yeah, and the Indy and Montreal same weekend, same continent, same relative region, same time thing is such a bitch move.
lol at it being a "bitch move." F1 is not concerned with Indy. MLB doesnt check with an independent league for their schedule. The NFL doesnt check with the Canadian league.
I think it stems from Hulk skipping an F1 race to do LeMans. So now they schedule on top of Indy and LeMans every time. They could have left a break for Indy next year very easily but didn’t
I just dont think it's a "bitch move." The idea they should be scheduling around the lower tier racing is laughable.
Dbl in here dbl'ing. LOL at the Indy Fucking 500 being lower tier. As a spectacle, it's certainly the equal of any F1 race. Prior to the split, you could've argued the drivers had parity, too. There's a reason Alonso wanted to do the 500 ffs.
