if I ran a team I would pay a premium for pitching, hitting & bench coaches and then just worry about my manager having some charisma and being good facing the media and get along with the players enough that they don't hate him.

pitching coach especially I feel like has the biggest margin for advantage. Strom was so key for the Dbacks.
