Rex Ryan and Arthur Smith. Brick just waiting for legal compliance to clear the Gruden Bros Im guessing.
Firing salah, one of the best defensive coaches, just to interview other DCs to become HC is the jets in a nutshell
First year staff and being middle of the pack doesn't seem very fire worthy. Where there other issues?
Completely out of left field from my vantage point. Feel like the offensive issues can simply be boiled down to our OL being shit for like the 10th year in a row now.
Seems like there was discontent there most of the year with him and he has been rumored to be one and done. They were middle of the pack offensively, but it was a step back from what they were last year.
If this was out of left field for you, maybe I was just reading the minority opinions on him. Or maybe just a bunch of CFB people (especially Bama folks) hoping he would be fired so they could hire him.
I was reading Mike Sando's piece today on The Athletic and he brought up Pete Carroll as a possible candidate for the Pats because Kraft wants a big name. It's not going to happen, but that would be a hilarious move by Kraft to try to fuck with Bill and everyone from his early teams by trying to win with the guy he replaced.
ESPN mentioned their run game being ass and that's what McDonald wanted. Still seems a bit premature, but maybe there was more behind the scenes.
Daboll clearly didn't lose the lockerroom after that thrilling victory in Week 17 over the powerhouse Colts. Really, if you hit the QB evaluation then you just need to find 4 OL and get Andrew Thomas to stay healthy, and then find a WR or TE not named Nabers. If you can do that, then you can simply focus on the 8 or 9 defensive starters you need.
You know what's infuriating about the Jags being crap... They've still been more successful than the Dolphins in the past two decades
It’s so funny how Snyder selling the team has made people realize him being awful ran a ton of cover for a lot of these morons
Everything is pointing towards them giving Pierce another season. It's amazing how committed these bad teams are towards remaining bad.
The Raiders legitimately not be able to afford to fire him. They’re still paying McDaniels. Shit they might still be paying Gruden.
Hiring Flores when you have a young qb who needs help in his development would be the dumbest fucking move
Draft a QB1, lose 14 with the current staff, then fire everybody and bring in a new crew with the QB already in place. It might be a bold move.
The jags had a zoom press conference yesterday (lol joke franchise) and I would conservatively put the live chat at 50% clown emojis.
I believe it will be him or Aaron Glenn. I think Glenn is who Loomis wants. Supposedly it’s going to be Glenn. We shall see…. I prefer an offensive minded HC, but I like Glenn
I'm hoping Glenn gets the Jacksonville job. Far from perfect because of Baalke but at least the QB is in place and he'd have some pass rushers. I don't like the Jets job for him and NO is just a set up to fail for a first-time guy.
Agree, not ideal with the GM but he can build off of JHA and Walker at least (and the best rookie we may have ever had). Defense needs the most help, 30th in DVOA I think this year and 20 something last year. If we have a league average defense we win the south last year and probably 3-4 more games in 2024. It will also take pressure off Trevor which is desperately needed. I saw a stat earlier this year that correlated QB performance with wins and losses and he was near the top, which is less than ideal for a guy who likes to turn the ball over a lot.
Good coach, questionable personnel decisions and control freak. I think he gets the most out of his teams.
would love to see Vrabel with an elite roster. part of me feels like he's one of those guys who does best working in that underdog role.
People seem to believe that Vrabel has already told Kraft that he would take the job if they want him, but I think he's better suited for Chicago than NE for this reason.
I think he’s a B coach who looked A- at times because he was in a shitty division. But I am prepared to be doc’d on this
