The Simms family doesn’t want their dad to be forgotten. So they should let him wear it, but he has to change his name to Abdul Carter-Simms.
I would tell Carter that he knows Simms as the absolute worst NFL color analyst but Romo's been there since Carter hit puberty
He played off as he didn’t care if Carter wore it, but he’d let his family decide. Basically he wanted to say fuck no but not come across as the dickhead.
I think this is where I'm at Not only in sympathy to the retiree, but it feels like a scam for teams to go through the ceremony of # retirement, which they no doubt monetize the f out of, to just later be like nevermind.
Root for a team who has never retired a number (aside from 1 player who passed away) and you never have to worry about it. #chessnotcheckers
Heard they are already sold out of Skatebo jerseys in women's XXL. aka the Mike Alstott effect. Still seen throughout Tampa.
Wait a minute, that guy had 1 sack and 6 tfl last year and got drafted in the first round? And that sack was against bowling green 4 sacks in 34 games
4.5 in 37 games to be fair, this was a pretty succinct analysis. "He is the ultimate example of traits versus production," Daniel Jeremiah said on a conference call this week. "He has got all kinds of twitch, he’s explosive, he’s disruptive. He just hasn’t been able to finish, to compile sacks."
that sounds like a second round pick to me I understand taking a chance on upside but at this point he is probably who he is
"ultimate example of traits versus production" is not usually what you want to hear for a mid 1st rounder
I’ve never been more mad about a draft pick. To make matters worse we drafted a DE 2 years ago in the first round that also didn’t get sacks in college and he has barely been productive.
Made the mistake of switching to Sportscenter for a bit, they highlighted Browns qb room and talked about Shedeur as "at one time the favorite to go #1 overall in the 2025 draft." It's just amazing how stories can be manufactured.
Hunter seems like a really good dude, and with the amount of snaps he played last year was maybe the most well-conditioned athlete in college football. Hope it works out for him, but it is the jags
I bet he can run a mile under 8 minutes jokes aside, his toughness is also off the chart. Playing that many snaps must be draining physically but also mentally
And that fans name? Seion Danders. The fan who has sued the NFL over the draft-day free fall of Shedeur Sanders is pressing the case aggressively, seeking early discovery from the league. www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootb...— ProFootballTalk (@profootballtalk.bsky.social) 2025-05-20T00:16:57.922Z
On one hand, fuck the NFL and they should be sued into oblivion for about a billion things. On the other hand this is a very dumb lawsuit
