My way too early draft crushes for the Packers in the first three rounds: OL: Grey Zabel, Ersery Edge: Mike Green, Gillotte, DL: Nolen, Jordan Phillips (There's a lot of guys in the 20-35 range of big boards that would be fine) CB: Morrison, Revel, Azareye'h, WR: Higgins, Ayonanor, Beach Reading what Brugeler has on Nolen has me intrigued. With guys at Edge that rack up pressures but not sacks, that initial disruptor could go a long way for them. Corner is by far their biggest need, but I don't think they reach for one when the inventory lacks elite traits. Hafley was able to get by with adequate results with the corners they have, where they were exposed was ability to get pressure with 4. Basically the opposite of what we saw from the Eagles
Nolen was the best player on our team - depends on system but he was getting double teamed most of the year and was still dominant. I think the combine for him will probably be pretty eye-popping to a bunch of scouts/teams.
Having two hip surgeries seems like enough of a concern to merit a drop like that at least until they know he's healthy imo
a month ago I was hoping that Green could be taken with one of the Bears 2nd round picks... now he's mocked in the top 10 Dude is a monster... No clue why Pierce is dropping... Carter, Green and Pierce are elite pass rushers and should on talent be taken in the top 15. Pierce is going to fall to the Eagles and then be an all-pro for the next 10 years
I don't even dislike the pick but if a guy locks like a great second round pick - hold our damn beer.
On the Ole Miss front: I have no idea where to expect Dart to end up Ivey (DE) sounds like he just keeps rising and is expected to test well since he's finally healthy Amos (CB) getting injured during Sr. bowl practice wasn't ideal but it sounds like he showed what he needed to show to be an early 2nd depending if there is a run on CBs Pegues (DT/FB) will be an interesting one to watch just in general
I thought playing at a lower level was what was keeping him in the 2nd round. Clearly it seems like people around the league aren't worried about that.
Seniors in cfb these days are like cbb players that didn’t leave after their freshman year, it’s a caste system
The amount of propaganda we’ll see about this shit qb class will rival the stuff put out by the current White House.
Seems smart, the more evidence he’s a terrible choice in the first round the worse for any GM/owner. If his last name was devine he’d be a perfectly fine 5th-7th round choice to see if he can develop into a backup QB.
drafting Shedeur in the top 15 would be malpractice Giants or Raiders might still do it I guess think Cam Ward’s floor is 3
His tape and metrics all say he's a good WR but a great CB prospect. I think most people would assume a smart franchise would use him as a full time CB and be given a package of plays on offense.
LB's I like a lot and hope do well on Thursday/Pro-Day Shane Dolac (Buffalo) Jackson Woodard (UNLV) Carson Schwesinger (UCLA) Jack Kiser (ND) Jihaad Campbell (Bama) Demetrius Knight (SCar) Branson Combs (WF) Teddye Buchanan (Cal) Cody Simon (OSU)
DL I like a lot and hope do well on Thursday/Pro-Day Thor Griffith (UL) Simeon Barrow (Miami) Elijah Roberts (SMU) Josaiah Stewart (Mich) Brian Ugwu (Miami Oh) David Walker (Central Ark) Diwun Black (Temp)
Seaton was good and their 2024 version was improved from the 2023 one but still not great. Also hard to judge them fairly because Sanders would rather take a sack than throw the ball away, not wanting to hurt his accuracy numbers.
Neither Warren or Carter doing anything at the combine. Carter not fully recovered from playoff injury and will work out at the pro day. Warren just not testing.
Carter makes sense, Warren probably has something to gain by testing well but he's still going in the top 15
I don’t think Warren is the type of guy that will blow you away with testing. I don’t think it’ll really wow anyone
The NFL is going to force the networks to put CFP games at noon on Wednesdays if guys stop testing at their combine because of it
Precursor to a stress fracture “A stress injury may start out as a stress reaction, with bruising and swelling in the bone, then progress to an actual stress fracture, when a crack develops in the bone and can result in the bone breaking.”
