Jaire in that secondary could be scary good. His season should just start around week 10 so he's healthy for the games that are going to matter.
He is a Trevor truther. I like Tice, but he really goes hard for seasons on players he liked based on a few glimpses in prior years. See Riley Leonard and Tyler Van Dyke as recent cases
Ramsey is good but nowhere near his peak or the top of the NFL, which is what he's being paid like. Probably still has a year or two of being a 7/10 CB in the NFL. I thought Miami was going to have to eat a shit sandwich to move that contract and may have the worst safety duo in the NFL, so I am very pleased to turn him into this. Now we only have the worst CB room in the league
Ramsey is also a legendary bag securer. No clue how he ends up with a raise out of all of this but good for him.
Athletic pod seems to think Ramsey can still play and could transition to safety. Their assumption was he'd end up a Ram.
Ramsey is two years older than Minkah and plays a position where 98/100 players’ performance drops off a cliff the minute they turn 30 while you see safeties play well past that age routinely I don’t get it at all
I am very confused but you saying Saftey kind of makes sense. Minka didn’t do anything last year so I don’t mind moving off him.
So Steelers get Ramsey, Smith and 2027 7th round pick Send dolphins get Fitzpatrick and 2027 5th round
It might be happening! Ramsey could feasibly play opposite of Porter Jr., in the slot, or start his safety era now with Fitzpatrick heading (back) to Miami. He really fits wherever needed for them.— Nate Tice (@natetice.bsky.social) 2025-06-30T15:20:40.121Z (I also don’t really get Pittsburgh trading for him, but maybe it was necessary to get Jonny)
The #Dolphins are now in conversations with multiple teams about acquiring a tight end after sending Jonnu Smith to Pittsburgh, per sources. A wild start to the holiday week could get wilder…— Tom Pelissero (@tompelissero.bsky.social) 2025-06-30T17:03:21.150Z
I don't really know what to make of the 2025 Dolphins other than their ceiling feels like a Wild Card team and the floor is the coach and QB both lose their jobs
why did PIT need Jonnu with Friermuth? Not a bad piece to add but not sure he really moves the needle that much for them. He's not having another year like last year
He's not a bad player by any means, but it feels like bad process to extend him after a career year at 30. I'd bet on him not replicating last year's production again. Last year's Miami offense was just super weird because of a banged up WR unit, terrible OLine and no running game.
Probably just wanted to add another receiving TE any way they could. Since Rodgers will be getting the ball out as quickly as he can to avoid as much contact as possible, and Arthur Smith runs tons of 12 personnel. Just another way to please their one-year rental QB.
