The Finebaum thread is gone but Iman has cancer. Hope the best for him but stage 4 is gonna be tough.
Yeah, feel bad for her. Doesn’t matter if true, it’s not like someone deserves for their business to be put out there like that
"They were throwing deer sausage at them" had me rolling. Brandon Bolden is one of those hidden gems that got out of Baton Rouge and went to Ole Miss (Les Miles didn't think he could play tailback in the SEC).
They’ve had a top 5 recruiting class for going on 20 years. They’re just the most spoiled fanbase in sports.
Their entire fanbase booster have Saban's mindset that these kids aren't worth shit and don't deserve the money teams are willing to give them. I guess after 50 years of setting the market and being able to understand pay recruits bc it was illegal has made them spoiled. Stuck thinking a Dodge charger and 10k was all a 5* deserves
Most spoiled in college football for sure (though Ohio State isn’t far behind). Certainly up for debate for most spoiled in American sports, which would be a fun side discussion. Fans of European soccer mega clubs are probably the most spoiled of all, though. If the effort is going to be this low-T, sometimes it’s best to just not hit reply.
With Saban gone, players aren’t going to Bama these days because of the great development they may get. Y’all are paying.
There’s a big difference between top 15 and top 5. Hard to believe that any team sans Saban could have a top 3 class by paying the 11th most.
Honestly it isn't. There are like 3 teams then pretty much everyone else with a random team who has a billionaire getting antsy. OSU, Oregon, and Texas then pretty much everyone else
I think all things being equal a player would prefer Bama over say Florida or Ole Miss. And Michigan shows they can be outbid. But saying that the NIL is more like Penn State than Texas feels like a bridge too far. All semantics though that don’t really matter. So it can be dropped.
Every school can buy a single player (Mich), they can't buy 25 of them like the top 3 are willing to do.
Obviously it's pre-spring but there was an article about it that I just read and not a lot of other SEC football news at the moment so - our assumed depth chart: * indicates players that are expected to be strengths *QB - Austin Simmons (6'4, 224) RB - Logan Diggs (6'1, 215) (LSU) *WR - Cayden Lee (5'11, 182) *WR - De'Zhaun Stribling (6'2, 200) (Oklahoma State) WR - Harrison Wallace (6'1, 195) (Penn State) *TE - Dae'Quan Wright (6'4, 256) and Luke Hasz (6'3, 240) (Virginia Tech and Arkansas) LT - Diego Pounds (6'6, 340) (UNC) LG - PJ Wilkins (6'7, 340) (UNC - Charlotte) C - Brycen Sanders (6'6, 310) RG - Patrick Kutas (6'5, 315) (Arkansas) RT - Jayden Williams (6'4, 315) *Jack/DE - Suntarine Perkins (6'1, 220) DT - Zxavian Harris (6'7, 320) DT - William Echoles (6'3, 310) DE - Da'Shawn Womack (6'5, 255) (LSU) DE - Princewill Umanmielen (6'4, 255) (Nebraska) *LB - TJ Dotterty (6'1, 225) (Clemson) LB - Jayden Yates (6'1, 215) (Marshall) NB/S - S - Sage Ryan (5'11, 200) (LSU) CB - Jaylon Braxton (6'0, 190) (Ark) CB - *K - Lucas Carniero (5'11, 190) (Western Kentucky) P - Oscar Bird (6'4, 205) (Aussie)
At first I was confused as to why Princely would still be there. I forgot he has a brother with a similar looking/sounding name.
According to Nebraska people it's basically the same exact situation as Princely at UF, absurd talent but lazy. We'll see how it goes.
Looks like DC Pete has his work cut out for him. wes tegg might be in rooins Zero good OL might be an issue
Honestly we will be fine at OT if they can stay healthy for once but I wouldn't call it a strength. The kicker transfer is legit - 6-6 from over 50 yards and was CUSA special teams player of the year.
DL and LB I'm not worried about at all - LBs especially. I think we could potentially be pretty bad DB wise.
