Yeah, if anybody has a right to be unrealistic and overly emotional, it's definitely them. State did a good job. Don't know if I've ever seen a capital case where the State wouldn't allow life without parole on a plea deal. That's an absolutely miserable existence.
I forgot how they found him. didn't someone suggest him as a creepy guy that came around the place one of the girls worked?
He left the knife sheath accidentally in the bed between the first two victims on the 3rd floor. DNA tested it came back with a match to a relative from an ancestry-type website. not positive about the restaurant thing
the restaurant thing was unrelated to the victims staff at a brewery supposedly said he was weird to young women workers and was asked not to come back
I don’t know if all the evidence gathered will be available to the public since he pled guilty? I’m not really sure how that works.
Unfortunately even if the judge made that be part of the deal he probably would have just lied or said something that wasn’t going to satisfy everyone anyways. It sucks but there’s always going to be shit that doesn’t make sense in these cases
I think a lot of times mass shooters and serial killers just want to kill people and the motive is always more abstract
One thing I’ll never forget about this case is the cops informing the public during a news conference in the days after that there was no threat to the public. These idiots had no clue. A thrill killing, serial killer obsessed, stabbing mass murderer was on the loose and the police essentially said, “Eh, this was targeted. This person won’t want to kill again. No need for anyone to worry.”
nah I won’t get into it, but he’s one of the worst human beings on earth and if he got killed in prison my wife wouldn’t give a shit at all…………and it wasn’t murder but he’s a very violent person
I wouldve guessed he woulda been doing some wetwork for the AB also no chance he serves his time in Idaho right?
If accurate, it’s not a long list: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Prisoners_sentenced_to_life_imprisonment_by_Idaho
I highly doubt that list is exhaustive but true crime people do seem insane so maybe someone out there keeps it updated
My wife has lately started mainlining trial coverage, and the backdrop of the Karen Read trial and whoever the Mormon chick is who serial murdered a bunch of assorted friends and family, was the soundtrack of my daily existence for a bit. Hopefully just a phase.
