Going to a work party so I don't have to lift a finger or spend a dime. Burgers and dogs on the menu, not sure about sides. Going to have bounce houses and a bunch of games for the kids. Will have video game consoles in each corner, baseball on center screen. Ping pong, kam-jam, cornhole, bunch of other games.
Steak burgers, Italian sausage and corn on the cob on the grill. Shrimp cocktail and charcuterie for snacks.
I work sundays for 6 months out of the year and of course, it’s my Sunday to work. Fuck you all and I hope you enjoy.
It is quite lovely. The wife and I are big fans of sours. She is drinking an Artisanal Brew Works Sno-Cone Pina Colada sour that she is enjoying, It took her about as long to drink it as it took me to type the fucking title of it.
Sous vide/smoked brisket, Coleslaw, pinto beans, and lemon raspberry icebox cake after a shitload of beers. Going to be a good day.
Updated menu: Burgers Corn on the cob Fried squash Fried green tomatoes All veggies from the garden. Got some Bearded Iris and Ozark IPAs and Southern Grist Sours to wash it down.
Hmm idk. First time doing it but it seems fine. They probably could fill out a little more, definitely not as uniform as store bought. Will update later with taste.
Settled on burgers with pepper jack, elotes, and twice baked potatoes. We are house/dog sitting so just my wife and I. Did grab some shrimp cocktail to snack on at the grocery store too.

Corn was totally fine. Probably needs another watering and some more time to really fill them out, but the taste was good and they melted like butter in my mouth. I'm sure a lot depends on the variety. These are Silver Queen (or silver king maybe? One of the two.)
Here’s some pics for the haters. Did two versions, one spice and one without the sriracha and peppers for the kids.
Went to Costco bought a 24 pack of Sam Adams summer beers. Challenge accepted. Wife decided to make birria tacos. Some finger foods as apps.
Having our traditional 4th movie marathon. Watching Deadpool and grandson is cracking up at every bad word.
Breakfast was blueberry pancakes with fresh blueberries picked yesterday & a spicy sausage because why not. afternoon/evening is a party and I’m contributing Tri-tip & Aaron Franklin’s potato salad with a tweak or two.
