    - Liverpool co-owner George Gillett is set to sell his stake in the Premier League club to Saudi Arabian sports investment vehicle F6, according to the company's managing director Gassim Hamidaddin. Saudi prince Faisal bin Fahad bin Abdullah al-Saud, who chairs F6, was at Anfield to watch Liverpool's 6-1 thrashing of Hull City on Saturday, and said after the match that he was "close" to buying a stake in the Reds. Prince Faisal said the deal could "be worth £200 million to £350 million" but Hamidaddin said these figures "were not 100 percent accurate".

    - West Ham United and Millwall face the prospect of severe punishment after being hit with several Football Association charges following the crowd trouble which marred their Carling Cup match last month. The FA have issued four charges against the Hammers and three against Millwall - including indictments for racist behaviour by both sets of fans - following the shocking crowd violence in and around Upton Park on August 25. - Stephen Ireland looks set to miss Manchester City's Premier League clash with West Ham United on Monday night after contracting a sickness bug. Roque Santa Cruz could make his Manchester City debut in tonight's Premier League encounter with West Ham at Eastlands.

    - Javier Mascherano and Yossi Benayoun are out of Liverpool's Champions League squad against Fiorentina on Tuesday night in the Group E clash in Italy.

    - Arsenal will be without Nicklas Bendtner for Tuesday's Champions League game against Olympiakos after the striker was involved in a minor car accident.

    - Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has hailed Ryan Giggs as the master game-breaker after the veteran midfielder once again inspired his team victory at the weekend. The 35-year-old Welshman came on as a second-half substitute against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium and set up goals for Berbatov and John O'Shea to secure a 2-0 win that moved United to the top of the Premier League. Berbatov said: "The game changed when Ryan came on. He makes the right decisions. That is what got us the three points. You can see because of the number of years he has been able to play for Manchester Untied how much he helps by being on the pitch."

    - AC Milan coach Leonardo has appealed to Rossoneri supporters not to give up on his struggling outfit after Sunday's goalless draw against newly-promoted Bari continued a terrible start to the season. The sale of Kaka to Real Madrid and the departure of coach Carlo Ancelotti means Milan are undergoing something of a rebuilding process but with the proud Italian club now languishing in 11th place in Serie A the supporters are quickly losing patience. Just 34,000 fans turned up at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium to watch Milan on Sunday and many booed at the end of the game. "We are struggling psychologically although our team has the experience to react," Leonardo said. "We hope that more fans can turn up to the stadium, the team needs their support."
