That still wouldn’t apply to this situation. For that to work: -Smith would have had to be hired on-field at FSU last year -Smith could then come to Miami in an off-field role this year
I still need someone to explain how Mario is able to hire Smith and Taylor and it doesn’t impact recruiting either of those schools.
we’ve got a full staff now? oc/wr: gattis rb: kevin ol: mirabal qb: ponce te: field? dc: steele lb/dc: strong dl: joe db: addae de: wright st: analysts/support staff? is that it?
That’s not how the rule reads, though, unless I’m missing a recent amendment. 11.4.4 https://web3.ncaa.org/lsdbi/search/bylawView?id=8735
schools have basically told the ncaa to fuck off. UF hired Ratliff and then immediately signed one of his 7v7 kids. Ncaa has done nothing to enforce the devin bush rule. As long as you aren’t egregious with it. Y’all also hired Bain brother and will still sign Bain.
Think it went pretty under the radar how bad our injury luck was last year, with almost every one of them being serious/season enders So much attention going to Manny’s hot seat
Apparently he had a deal, but didn't get paid because he didn't show up to the events. He can get gone, though.
Baseball season is quickly turning into a disaster. Idk how much Dimare’s family donates but the coaching staff needs to get gone. Finally watched the interview with Toral and why he left the team. These fuckers couldn’t figure out how to manage the roster and have a spot/scholarship set for one of their best players after the Covid year rules were set. I understand the scholarship situation sucks for the baseball team, but the kid is now tearing it up for your rival. Not to mention, you’ve had multiple players (big time recruits too) hit the transfer portal since you told Toral to take a hike. Going to Clemson this weekend worried it may be ugly. Apparently Rad is gonna be there, so might actually be a Manny-FSU like moment if it gets bad
It's beyond incredible how Blake allowed blatant nepotism to undermine his coaching hires. Larranaga was an inherited hire but he 100% would have promoted Caputo or made a lazy hire like bringing back Huger or Konkol had L decided to retire after the shit hit the fan with the NCAA stuff. I was a fan of the Richt hire at the time, even though it fell right into Blake's lap, but he showed how much of a bitch he really was when he agreed to letting him call plays and allow his fucking kid to be QB coach. Hiring DiMare might be the most egregious offense given the family connection and the fact that he's completely and utterly unqualified to lead a high-level program like Miami.
