You know what absolutely baffles me and speaks to the ineptitude of this coaching staff? Our best pitcher for the past two seasons has been slotted at closer. They both came out of HS as starters, obviously have the durability for it, but somebody decides we need them to close. While the weekend rotation continues to be a mess for the entire season, we just have the best closer (with a starters arm) sit in the bullpen hoping to get one save situation over a series Won’t even get into the disservice it is to both Palmquist and Walters as they each lose a season in the pen instead of being able to stretch their arm and work on secondary pitches as a starter
