How’s Riley Williams been besides that play last night? He looks like a legit TE body. also, correct outcome but insanely bad process
The guys were completely gassed by the 4th quarter VT was also running up tempo and our guys were not prepared for it at all
RS, they like his talent just gotta develop his body some Justin Scott is getting a lot of burn though
Riley is coming along. The TE room is pretty loaded right now and he’s a big part of it. as for the play. It was botched from the start. Calling that a TD on the field was idiotic. refs created a situation where you needed “indisputable” evidence in a dogpile to overturn a TD where at best the WR had possession for a split second.
After last yr GT game he could have caught it, done 17 football moves in the end zone and if that got overturned I’d say don’t care had sex
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Riley he doesn’t get as many passes because he’s behind Arroyo but the kid is huge and can move in space. I’m more impressed with how well he blocks. He should be able to slide in perfectly for Arroyo next season.
If he slims down just a tad and picks up a little bit of agility, he’s going to be a really solid replacement for Arroyo, who’s a legit Day 1 talent (doubt he actually does go that high due to injury history)
Last night was the perfect formula to have a letdown/potential upset. Short week, coming off a beatdown of an instate opponent's Super Bowl, who happens to play an uptempo style, didn't really give us much of a buffer heading into last night. Add in the fact that VT always plays us better away from Blacksburg for some reason and they themselves are better than their record indicates, and I really didn't have a great feeling going into last night.
It is beyond weird how upset VT fans are about that last play. There's clear evidence that the ball was never secure and that the WR didn't complete the catch. Yet here they are still complaining about it. Then they bring up the holding call that wiped off a TD while ignoring that they got a makeup call the next play AND scored a TD on that drive. Just absolute brain worms.
thats prob the thing thats so dumb about anyone talking about VT holding penalty. they still scored on that drive aided by a PI call. it didnt affect them in a negative at all.
yup. Meanwhile they got 3 points on a FG that should have been taken off the board, the phantom hold that resulted in a 14 point swing... VT was getting bailed out all night then want to complain that replay didn't uphold an absolutely insane TD call.
Brain fucking worms. No other school gets this. When the Duke play happened, nobody was talking about inconclusive evidence. It was about overturning the result of the play to give duke the win. It's absurd.
I don’t even care anymore I hope the ACC is planning to help us to an undefeated season (which they aren’t) but by next week no one will even be talking about this anymore
