we're gonna trip, stumble, and fall our way into haselwood, howell/maverick, and 3ish decent, at best, bodies for the ol somehow
I'm going to guess this means some freshman are transferring as well.
o-line is easily the weakest unit on the team and we have zero commits there. in december.
no staff changes on the horizon. no change in offensive philosophy. a recruiting class that wasn't that good to begin with falling apart. lord have mercy.
who wants to spend the next year having coke dreams about meyer roaming the sidelines in 2020, faking fred sanford heart attacks with each missed blocking assignment? set yourselves up for disappointment with me, fellas
Can’t do it. Meyer is a bridge to far
We are now on a 2 game losing streak to Ivy League teams. I thought the team would take a little step back with Dewan out, but Dewan isn't that good where him being out is the sole reason that we are on a 4 game losing streak, with three of those games being Rutgers, Yale, and Penn.
Time to move on from Larranaga
So... Manny is interviewing and stuff
Do you blame him? Top-shelf with DC all 3 years hes been here and his defense was hung out to dry all year. Richt's seat is going to get really hot if shit hits the fan next year so why not get out ahead of it.
Has there been any other word on Manny?
He has a great beard
I just noticed that Banda and Rumph are our most experienced college coaches on defensive side if Manny leaves. Simpson and Patke only have 1 year.
That's probably a good sign. Sounds like Schiano and Don Brown are also in the mix so I'd imagine that search drags on a bit longer. Just give the guy a raise and be done with it.
I'd imagine (definitely) Banda and possibly Patke go with Diaz if he leaves
Mike Elko or Manny IMO
Elko will remain at A&M.
It’s gonna be manny
Yup, we fucked
Give the guy more money and pray.
Manny should hire Banda as DC iyam imo fwiw
Man y'all need to relax
manny isnt leaving for the fuckin temple job
Why? It’s been a great step to a bigger job recently.
Boy this ship sure seems to be taking on a lot of water.....
never seen a program fall apart this fast.
Mark Richt has very impressively killed our football program in just 13 months time
FSU says hold my beer
Michigan 247 guy doesn't think Temple lands either Brown or Diaz
Took us 15.
asa martin any good?
McMurphy says Diaz number 1 choice for Temple. Good for him.
i mean he should be #1 on temple’s list, but i don’t see manny going to temple tbh.
if/when richt craps the bed next season, feel like manny’s gonna be first in line for the job, assuming his defense is still amazing.
I mean we went down that route before with Randy. Not sure I want to do that again.
right, i didn’t say i wanted to either, but
Richt would have to have an absolute terrible year to get fired next year (which is always possible with a lazy POS who wastes bowl practices so he can build nativity models). Even when he's done it won't be someone from the staff getting promoted again especially someone with no HC experience. Again why worry about DC outside of one idiot brigade when has Miami not fielded a good defense? Manny finally stopped standing in his own way from a play calling standpoint and props to him for that but I still get nervous whenever a team is in 3rd down
I still can't believe we are only using 8 out of 15 practices. I mean wtf? Use the other 7 for nothing but Toilet bowls for the young guys. Let all the seniors and starters stay home if you don't want to wear them down. But shit. this makes no sense.
This is a real thing?
Yes our bozo head coach of a team that lost five games because "players weren't executing his preschool offense" thinks we only need 8 days of practice to prepare for our bowl game opponent and no point in using the other practice as early spring practice reps. I mean wasting half our bowl game practices last year worked out so well why not do it again.
Don't think I could possibly hate anyone more than I hated Al Golden, but here we are.
No fucking way. Really skipping 7 practices?
They’re going to absolutely regret not firing him this year.....
I agree it took Manny a while to get the blitzes from 50 yards out of the playbook, but that being said, we were dogshit on defense at the end of the Coker era and all through Randy's years as HC imo. Anyone with a pulse put 30 up on Randy pretty easily. The last two years were the best we've been on D since '05. I'd like to keep Manny solely because its the only thing we have to sell right now.
That’s our line damnit
