That looks better than X
I never saw X. That’s the one based in Austin in the porn industry right? I should prob put that on my list
Alright where I watched X online did not have a post credits scene.
I disagree but it still looks like a lot of demented fun.
Me neither. I was pissed when I waited around for the post credits scene and got bupkiss.
Watching X now.
Marcel the shell is worth the watch. Fun, sad, poignant, etc
No post credit scene at the end of Amazon rental. Good movie though
Did it give it to ya?
I didn’t get a post credits scene either on Google Play.
I just got a copy on Blu Ray so hoping it's included somewhere on it.
Bodies Bodies Bodies was really fun. Great job nailing the gen z cliches.
Finally watched Saint Maud. Thought it was pretty well done. Atmosphere of the whole movie was good, really enjoyed viewing the movie through the eyes of an insane person with every once in a while getting a glimpse of what was really going on.
Also very effective jump scare when you don’t think it’s that kind of movie, don’t see it coming and they just get you with one. I hate jump scares but had to give it to em on that one
Maybe I missed it but did it ever tell what actually happened with the patient from the beginning of the movie?
Some of the seeding sucks. The Witch vs Ex Machina in round 1 being the worst.
May go see Bodies tomorrow. I know nothing about it. Thanks for reading my very important post.
Thought Bodies was really good.
ARi Aster and comedy?
You didn’t enjoy his previous comedies? I found the boyfriend in the bear suit to be hilarious.
My dislike of Everything Everywhere seems to be the most hot take opinion I’ve had in awhile.
I enjoyed it but don’t think it’s as good as everyone else and was pretty incensed that it won the best A24 movie bracket on RT over Hereditary.
Third movie for Ti West and the X franchise
Set in 1985 and follows Maxine still trying to make it as an actress. Super pumped for Pearl to be released this weekend.
That monologue is some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. Fucking blew me away.
Also, it’s really weird to see the prequel take itself more seriously. Whereas X was very much Texas Chainsaw (but making light of it), this is Carrie with a mix of Psycho, but only barely making jokes about it. They’re touching all of the bases in terms of influences. Excited to see what the third has in store.
Not sure if it's going to be released in cinemas here but I really want to see this.
was really waiting for a cut at some point and it just kept going
Pearl was definitely solid. But it's a lot different than X.
It's more of a character study than it is a horror/slasher movie like X was. Which is not a bad thing, just more a tempering of expectations.
Yeah I had no idea she had that type of acting in her. Absolutely incredible.
The end cracked me up when they made her not blink and smile for as long as possible.
Personally, I thought Pearl was way better than X. Better acted and better executed in general. I’m a sucker for psyche over slash, though.
I thoroughly enjoy what they’re doing and am looking forward to the third installment to see where they go with it.
I think in the long term I'll prefer Pearl. I just wasn't expecting *that* movie, was all.
They appear to be ticking boxes, which I tip my cap to them for, as it’s been a treat. My guess is that the third installment returns to slasher and has notes of Scream
Just a guess
