I get it. On one hand, I don't want to see that and it definitely shouldn't be used to give anyone "e-cred" but on the other hand those videos make it real when we've become so numb to this shit.

I was walking in the park today after lunch and heard some gun shots coming from the direction of the high school near the park. As I was walking home I stopped near where they had taped off and a lady who was clearly shaken up asked me if I had any idea what happened and I told her I just heard shots during my walk. Her daughter goes to that high school and as we were talking she heard back from her daughter, the shooting took place about 100 yards from the entrance to the school on a side street and it was two students that shot at another student in his car and apparently the kid isn't going to make it. It's just a reminder that this shit is very real and it's our generation's job to get into power and to stop it because no one else is.
Some country we live in where kids should be enjoying their time on campus but this is their experience instead

Clicked on a tweet about the shooting, looked at replies and I totally got owned by some smart guy posting “isn’t campus a gun free zone?”
Sucks my first thought was “if mass shootings at elementary schools don’t make a difference, another college campus shooting won’t matter.”
Every few minutes over radio you hear reports of shots reported but usually followed up by officers in that area saying they didn't hear shots. Hopefully the shooting has stopped and it's just about finding this fucker at this point

What a dead brained response. Regardless of who is shooting who for whatever reasons, the people who make it easier to get guns in america than it is anywhere else in the developed world are the people mentioned above. That is the underlying problem that makes all this possible. Please just go drool over your key board to someone else. You will find no civil discourse on this topic with me, nor do you deserve it.
I think a lot of it is people on edge hearing things, and I can't blame them. But most the shots fired calls coming in have been followed up with officers in area reporting they heard no shots. Not sure I've heard a new verified shooting since the IM east one
