I think it’s been abundantly clear this has been a highly unusual case from the beginning until now, and this appears to only be the beginning if you are to believe his lawyers threats

You kidding me? The most racist people I've ever met in my life were CPD. South Side Irish cops. Barely edging out the white members of the Detroit Police Department I've known. I'm positive all those people are trumpards.
I’m certainly not asserting that there aren't any asshole cops in CPD or that it's a shining beacon of social progress - I just think it's a reach to act like it's some Trump stronghold of a police force when it's an over 50% minority police force with a black superintendent and Obama's former right hand at mayor (who appoints or has heavy control over the upper level posts). But I’m sure there are some Chicago posters with more actual insight - I’m there at most twice a year.

Empire is getting a 20 episode 6th season finale without Smollett. Ratings were sinking well below previous seasons before the incident and it is unlikely the Smollett situation had much to do with it other than maybe making it easier to explain. Sorry, whitesoxdave at Barstool Sports.

Yea his story is rough and his behavior is worse. Repeated violent arrests for attacks against women. Also - his dad stabbed and killed a guy while an onlooking 2 year old Terrence was waiting to see Santa at the Cleveland mall so don't think the parental influences were ideal. Just all bad.

Would have to see the exact terms, but generally speaking, I’d tend to think that Smollett violated the spirit of such an agreement.

Yea just stand up, hold the subpoena high in the air for visibility, then proclaim: "I refuse this subpoena" as loud as possible. It's basically like declaring bankruptcy.
