I give them credit for trying to do something different. Launched a bunch of new shit. And got people to tune in. Not all of it was good but I’m sure they will see improved numbers.
If this was a legit Shane idea (and not just kayfabe), then holy shit do not give him the keys to creative when Vince goes back to his crypt.
Oh my god I finally watched it. Vince must have also found out about Duke Nukem 3D with the random hookers dancing and thought THIS IS SUCH GOOD SHIT with the dancing PG rating and Shane verbally ejaculating to the fights with that's good. They have embraced that the entire company is a parody now and I love it.
Ahahahahaha wtf did they do? A company that hates pro wrestling tried to do Bloodsport?!?! And, if I’m reading this right, did they try to do an Antifa angle??? Please god see this through.
I don't even watch anymore. I just read Bleacher Report reviews. I actually got bored reading the review.
I didn't hear them mention anything like this. unless you consider guys dressed in all black destroying stuff antifa. that said, for whatever reason last night was the first time I watched more than five minutes of Raw in a really long time and it was so bad it was almost interesting. but not in a way where I want to watch next week, I just find it fascinating that this is where they find themselves. it was like watching a video of something old and completely outdated just to laugh at it, but it was actually live. the one positive I will say is the Shayna-Sasha match was really good despite the lack of a finish.
Poor Ziggler, he goes from challenging for the title to being background in fake shoot fight in a warehouse.
Perfectly acceptable, if less than normal AEW show that featured a fantastic promo: “bad show” A complete drizzling shits Raw that was wholly god awful: “not all of it was good, but I applaud the effort.”
I am tired of people making comparisons of Raw Underground to Fight Club. Vince and Hogan wrote Battle of the Tough Guys in 1989.
I'm watching ups and downs review of the raw because I only saw the last segment. They had a match end in a DQ because Asuka attacked Bayley outside the ring, who wasn't in the match. What the fuck? V1 would lose his mind
yes he is, but that doesn’t mean what he said isn’t true. It’s good they are trying something different and it will give them a ratings boost. Good for WWE trying to do something different, let’s see where they go with it
I would have to agree. They just need to throw this idea in the trash. Unfortunately they recorded multiple weeks at once, so at least one more week of it.
What exactly are you upset about? That I echo'd another posters thoughts on AEW or that RAW had no good moments? I never said RAW was a good show, but I thought Orton/Drew promo was great, the Sasha/Shayna match was good, MVP was fun to follow and I liked the sabotage stuff. If you felt everything was the drizzling shits... cool. I'm not going to get pissed over a wrestling opinion. But you do you.
I don't think the idea itself was awful. I think where they took it and how much they aired was. Less probably was more in this case. Do away with the girls, do away with a WWE ref calling the match. Maybe only do one segment to close RAW with only featuring that huge dude for his debut crushing dudes and close the show would've been better. And moving forward only use the "underground" to introduce a few new talents and maybe have them form a shoot fighting stable of some sort down the road. Typical Vince they took this idea and included the Viking Raiders, Dolph Ziggler and the Hurt Business and it was overkill. Just like AEW with the girls in bikinis I felt the dancing girls were unnecessary. Felt like DX in 97. I do like they attempted something different... do that more often. The same cookie cutter show is clearly losing a ton of viewers. I hope the negative feed back doesn't make them go back to the same old shit. Maybe just change and tweak this new stuff. I don't think you can save this "underground" stuff as I think they went to far to soon.
Shane is great when he’s jumping off or being thrown through things, but put a mic in his hand and he’s meh. they need to stop thinking they can insert him into any storyline to boost ratings like Vince could always do. he’s never going to be the character Vince was. nobody will.
Agreed. But WWE always put's the family on when the numbers fall. Couple weeks ago they had Steph on and this week Shane. I agree they don't pop numbers just keep them off air.
It would be nice if the people running WWE creative weren’t 50 + year old white guys. Vince, Dunn, Triple H, Pritchard, Hayes, etc.
They should have embraced a full 90's style throwback and had it in a parking garage surround by rich men driving Mercedes making bets and had Shane come out like dressed like a villain straight out of a JCVD movie. Doing something like this because you think it's cool or badass will never work.
WWF Title match now. Everyone I've seen on the screen so far is dead except Vince (Brain, Fink, Warrior, Savage)
I don't know. The hookers and Shane and the bajillion camera cuts were over the top, but I just don't think shoot fighting will ever work out. They deserve credit for taking the steering wheel and driving the Ford Tempo into a tree though, and they should keep throwing shit against the wall. It's a pandemic and the product is going to get shit ratings no matter what. Just do whatever.
Nailz went to jail because he forgot to pay a parking ticket that he got when buying flowers for Mother's Day
That doesn't even make sense with regards to the Peter Principle. What qualifies a sports agent to work as a President and CRO? If he was overseeing talent relations, I'd get it, but wtf?
