Cornette made an interesting point in a video I saw a few months back. Said the wrestlers should use the term entertainment against Vince. They aren't wrestlers anymore so they might as well embrace it and be unionized. They don't even need to start their own union, he suggested they join the screen actors guild. He even said he's heard they are open to taking wrestlers, someone just needs the balls to do it
And her tweet is not a direct cause of her termination. She just beat WWE to the punch releasing the news.
I want to see wrestlers unionize, but a wrestlers union would likely kill independent wrestling. It’s a slippery slope.
Another thing that bugs me about AEW is the number of shots they took at WWE about issues with safety, Healthcare, all that and acted like they'd take care of their guys. It was a real chance to do things right and force wwe hand to change it. Instead their benefits apparently aren't good enough that Mox stayed on Rene wwe plan because it was better. They didn't improve anything from what i can tell. If they at least got rid of the independent contractor shit it would be a start
has the screen actors guild killed independent films?
I mean I know people make independent movies but I think there is a difference between that and running a promotion.
A place like GCW, which is lauded by wrestlers for how wrestler friendly it is, probably draws 300-400 people a show, and then maybe sell 1000 streams. If they are having to give higher paydays across the board, plus better travel and lodging, and a bigger cut of streaming and merch, I don’t think they can survive. The margins are just so slim on the indies, I think it would kill a lot of promotions.
And how would a wrestlers union work with guys working in places like Mexico and Japan. I’m genuinely curious because I don’t know.
But don’t get me wrong, it would absolutely help everyone signed to places like WWE and AEW. But if there are 1000 wrestlers active in the US, maybe only 300 or so are employed by WWE, AEW, ROH, Impact, etc. I don’t know how the other guys would survive. Just my two cents.
Vince getting so greedy during a pandemic is going to cost him big time, and I really am excited to see what how badly he gets fucked.
It’s especially funny because they are obviously never going back to house shows, so all they need to do is pay wrestlers travel for three days a week, toss them a 50 dollar a day food per diem and give them a decent health care package. The several million dollars it would cost them now would be worth the goodwill they would surely get as a result. And shit, they already do that with the NXT touring roster. That is also all AEW does, and everyone there can’t stop talking about how nice it is.
Wouldn’t it specifically be a WWE performer Union? Not a broad Pro Wrestler union.
I would think it would be like SAG but I guess I don’t know. If WWE wrestlers unionized though, I assume AEW, Impact and ROH follow suit.
Back to Zelina though, wonder if she is first of multiple who refused to stop the 3rd party ban on the way out. She opened that only fans so im sure that's a big role in this.
I'm guessing UUDD is approved by the WWE. I know Jessamyn Duke, Paige, Adam Cole and Breeze still using twitch i think. Although maybe doesn't apply to NXT and who knows what Paige deal is
Missed start of SD, see we have Rey v Seth part 38273, I heard Cole mention something about the last chapter, did they announce this would be the last match between them?
Hahaha ha, Rey just awfully botched the dramatic ending to this rivalry
And wwe already ignoring draft, just calling them "unsanctioned" matches. Drew on SD tonight
WWE just debuted Chelsea Green, gave her a backstage spot, then was only one who got an entrance in a fatal 4 way. She was tossed out of ring after 30 seconds, never came back in ring and didn't win. Hell of a debut
Entertaining review of the "best segment in modern wrestling" according to Brian Last from AEW Wednesday
PWI is reporting she broke her wrist
She broke it on the corner spot with Tamina
Damn that sucks
This sucks, I was waiting on her to debut for months.
Damn, Chelsea's snakebit.
That sucks about Zelina Vega too, she's great.
I guess Aleister asked to go back to NXT but they turned him down. Talk about ruined potential.
Can't see this ending well with the Vega situation.
Aleister can be an awesome character for AEW. Dude can clearly go in the ring and has a cool presence to him. I’m sure they could find a way to get more out of him than WWE did.
I’m curious if Vince said no and he’s staying on main roster or if HHH said no thanks.
I can’t see it being HHH
I think the minimum a streamer makes from each subscription is about $3 to $3.50 per sub. Could be more if she has negotiated with Twitch.
14000 subs x $3.00 = $52k a month
That's before you even get into higher tiered subscriptions, donations, etc.,
I 100% believe she made more from twitch. Some of those guys who watch will donate hella money just because she’s hot and they want her to notice them. Not even counting in the subscriptions like you said.
And it’s so much easier and less demanding on the body. She just gets to chill on cam and talk for money.
We should start a TMB twitch stream account

WWE ref Drake Wuertz (formally Drake Younger) was on a heater this weekend. First he got busted asking where his Proud Boys in Seminole, FL were on Parler, and now this
He also recently scammed Finn Balor among others for donations to a charity supporting QAnon.
Shes not fair
Her gear last week was prime Bliss-level
Another week, another table for Lana
Just let Mia Yim take off that stupid head gear and wrestle. Why is the women’s WWE champion even in that match. I’ll just turn it back on with 5 minutes left to see who wins the title it’s impossible to watch.
Retribution used to fuck shit up, now they need to sneak attack a self imploding team with a surprise rollup and run away. Going to be 3mb before long
Well, I’m very pleased with Alexa’s school girl outfit
It’s been said many times but the person who produces the hype videos for WWE is top tier
AEW commercial in the middle of Raw. Excellent marketing Cody.
I'm actually intrigued tonight by Raw main event. Been a while. I could see any of 3 people being champ at end of night.
I could see Randy winning because he just won the title
I could see Drew winning because they started a mini program with him and Roman last Friday
I could see Miz cashing in and winning so neither of above job to Roman, and he has a brief title reign. Think the he lost and can't possibly cash in now is typical wwe distraction for a surprise cash in.
I could even see a failed cash in where Fiend stops him from winning
Nia with the social commentary like a month late
Damn they giving main event 30+ minutes
Or not, from Mcintyre music hitting to bell ringing took 10 minutes. Still 25 minutes for this match
Also after Mark Henry was defending wwe on radio on the 3rd party contract situation after the Vega firing, not a shock he is front and center in the ThunderDome
It won’t be clean, time for shinangins
They didn't have enough tonight. By the time this gets going again after commercial they'll have wasted 15+ minutes
