Figured it would be the other one. She’s the one that makes up stories to cover for her drunk driving car accidents. Also, thread title update needed: AEW thread: where sometimes WWE and Chrisley talk happens
That was awesome. Steve's ability to tell a story, combined with his natural charm and likability make for the perfect guest.
NewLegacy is doing two days of charity streams.....30 Royal Rumbles in 30 games leading to the Royaliest Rumble
I saw the Alvarez tweet posted earlier on reddit and all the speculation was AEW selling out and NXT on FS1. But doesn't seem like either of those.
NXT on USA hurts more than the rumored FS1, but I also think they're underestimating how much people want a different product. AEW is still going to do well. Honestly if AEW outperforms NXT while it's on USA, that's a big hit to the ego of WWE. FS1 would be whatever. But USA is where they have their main shows currently.
Perhaps a future freezing cold take, but Baron Corbin is winning this. Look at that bracket they put him in, that's loaded. They are paving the path to establish him as a monster.
I don't think it's a hot take because a lot of people seem to think that's what will happen. I mean it is WWE after all.
Flipping through saw the end of B block on AXS. It was followed by a new promotion. WOW, Women of Wrestling. It says s1e6. Tessa Blanchard is currently champ, but I didn't recognize any of the other women they had in the recap to open. They said Santana, but isn't Santana Garrett with NXT? Or is she AEW? Opened with some girl rapper in the ring, and Jeanie Buss in the balcony VIP seat. Idk wtf I'm watching.
WOW has been around since 2000 but was dormant from 2001-2012 and relaunched in 2012. I remember hearing about it on ROH DVDs from way back in the day.
It’ll hurt Vince’s ego to be sure, but what if 300k people who would tune into AEW watch NXT?AEW needs every viewer it can get, especially when they are basically putting the show on for free. USA will pay Vince for the show so they will have time AEW might not have.
The more info that comes out whether true or not, seems like Vince doesn't care if NXT is successful as long as it prevents AEW from gaining momentum or hitting their goals. Pretty wild. The mark in me thinks Vince and WWE is getting too cocky and everything will backfire, but my head says damn.
Watched the finally of Battle of the Brands today on UpUpDownDown. Really loved that whole series. I can't wait for the punishment for Woods, and to see what they do for next season.
Yea I dont think the goal is to have NXT beat AEW in ratings because Vince views NXT as his minor leagues. But I totally buy the argument that it is being done because it will take even some of the viewers from AEW so he can show how much higher his ratings on his big shows do as compared to AEW. I'm pulling for AEW at this point but realistically I cant see them getting close to the numbers Raw or SD do, despite those being at near record lows.
AEW will be in Pittsburgh on 10/23 (Pitt's b-ball arena) and 10/30 in Charleston, West Virginia (decent sized building). It'd be pretty bonkers if they sell out Charleston.
Crowd was fine, what ruins it from being awesome is Cole's fake ass reaction. Not genuine, feels like reading lines.
Posted that before the Yowie Wowie chant post attack, but sounded dead quiet before that to me...maybe it was just me.
Love that he yelled "someone help him" when the attack happened feet away from where he was and beside maybe Rene he was the closest person to him
Michael Cole "We are still hoping to get you that Sasha Banks interview later tonight" If King interviews Sasha tonight after that attack, TV will immediately go off. I really hope they don't because RAW has actually been solid so far.
forgot I got some wild Bankz likes itt last night btw, he's like our very own version of The Fiend right now, hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike upon the poor unsuspecting thread-goers
It was the perfect opportunity to not say anything and let the natural sound deliver And Vince isn't even there tonight apparently so can't even blame him.
