Couple thoughts from Smackdown... 1) I don’t need Roman and Bryan in two long matches to open and close the show. It’s two hours. The roster is stacked. Build talent you lazy assholes. 2) Smackdown entrance ramp is amazing. Just the coolest thing. It’s got a mini WrestleMania feel to it. 3) the production to Smackdown and some of the camera shots are great, fresh and make the show look fantastic. 4) it’s a good first step forward. Show was solid.
So the fiend, a SD draft choice, didnt appear on SD? (Reading recaps now) yet he is booked for basically every upcoming RAW. This company can't even book ONE WEEK in advance...
Omega won the AAA Mega Championship. Pretty surprising (belts are totally meaningless in Mexico, I just didn’t expect Omega to be back. He is not over in AAA)
The main event is an absurd cage match where rivals team up only to fight one another when they are the last team in the cage. Should be a bloodbath so I suggest watching. Plus Rush has been teased on social media all day. Hopefully he debuts tonight and then AAA has the balls (and money) to book Rush vs LA Park at TripleMania.
I don't understand the main event and how Penta won. It was actually underwhelming. I do like Psycho Clown
WWE signed Jake Atlas. He’s very good. He’s also openly gay. I would advise be steer clear of future trips to Saudi Arabia.
I wonder how much of AEW's ratings are hurt by the fact they immediately show a replay or is that accounted for? NXT is great but man I'm just so over the full sail crowd.
The crowd is at least 75% of the reason I never got into NXT when I got back into wrestling. They are the fucking worst just always trying to get themselves over. They suck.
I read a report that if you include the true tv broadcast AEW's lost a greater percentage of viewers than reported last week.
Yes, but the numbers that get reported are only the 8-10pm slot on TNT. I read they did like 600k on the re-run last week
Right that was my question. How much are they hurt by running it back to back. If 1.05 million watch it 8-10 and 600K watch it for the first time 10-12, it seems like they are hurting themselves by showing it back to back. Its not that people aren't watching, they're just shifting when they watch.
Its a good question. NXT is doing about 800k maybe some of the 600k is NXT viewers tuning in after NXT finishes up. I know I did that week 1. Both TNT and Fox are showing replays of AEW and Smackdown all week and weekend. After original air. I think at this point they want to see if they can catch as many eyeballs on the product as possible for the first few weeks even if it means they might not do as big a number during the original airing. Also remember that the numbers we get don't include DVR. The total numbers for a viewing aren't calculated for a few weeks to a month. Because they add in DVR watches within a few days, week or never played.
Thought Lucha Bros should have done much more of a squash vs Jurassic Express. At the very least set up for when Luchasaurus comes back to get revenge. Private Party vs Lucha Brothers is going to be an awesome match.
First round pick Andrade. How can we get him over? Let’s have him get dominated by a jobber that hasn’t been on tv in over a year.
Haven't watched a second of wwe programming in a week. Did I read right that RAW featured no female segments?
Apparently a bunch of the RAW females were on tour in Australia. Didn’t miss them. The division is weak and just like the male counter parts needs to built up over time. Thought RAW did a decent job showcasing new talents and putting the correct guys over.

Should be noted this is the replacement La Parka that is currently with AAA, not the one that was in WCW (currently L.A. Park iirc). Both are like 56 years old though. Scary stuff.
