Me and a friend actually turned in the end of Full Gear after we got back to his house post LSU/Bama game. First time I've actively watched wrestling with someone since me and my brother watched some of Lucia Underground a few years back since I knew he'd dig the stories. DAVE claims AEW has that effect a lot. Not sure what that means wrt to ratings. My friend is kinda the one that got me back into wrestling after many years because he and a few guys watched and had bets on the WM card every year.
Punk’s on that FS1 show in 20 minutes I’ll give it a shot out of curiosity. At the very least Renee is always just delightful
Renee is amazing on that kind of format. She owned Talking Smack. I haven't watched a backstage yet but I'm going to dvr this one just to give it a chance.
Ember Moon has already shown more personality talking about her fucked up leg than she ever did on Raw or SD
I get home on Monday’s around 10 and will turn on the last hour of Raw so I have some background noise while I eat some food and relax a bit before I go to bed. I used to rewind to the beginning and FF through the commercials and filler to catch up but it’s mostly commercials and filler so I never go back now. If there was something else on I’d probably watch it instead but there is shit on Monday nights. I just plain forget Smackdown is even on since it’s been on Fridays again
And before some says “Monday night football” I actually think it’s worse thanRaw at this point. By the time I get home the game is usually decided and the commentary team this year is fucking awful. Yes, I would rather listen to Cole when he was on than Booger it’s that bad
disagree I mean, I agree about Billy Gunn. Pretty sure Indy just forgot he was a regular behind the scenes guy Other than that Dynamite's crowd was on fire. Elevated everything all night long
I was at a concert last night, so I’ve only seen gifs of the shows But I want to go on record as being disappointed in you all for not sending a messenger to immediately inform me of Kairi’s leather pants
Catching up on the Wednesday programs today. not sure what was better... Revival/UE or Jackson and Phenix. Both were excellent. thought NXT was the better program with the better wrestling. They did a really nice job weaving in the two other brands. Not sure why RAW and Smackdown largely couldn’t over the last two weeks. The promo was entertaining with Jericho but making him an idiot champion wasn’t the direction I really think he should go with it. They did a decent job with the battle royal. Surprised people weren’t in here shitting on them because the match was built around Billy Gunn. I know the announcers mention a “solo” Hangman. If your going to roll with a pretty big separation like that it should be on Dynamite. I’m not watching the YouTube stuff and it apparently is playing out there. For as much as I like Darby, the body bad stuff is lame. But I’m still a big fan. Havoc fucking sucks and his staple gun meh.
So last night NXT won with total viewership but AEW won the demo. Get that popcorn ready boys, war is heating up
I hope the numbers continue to hold steady. Who wins doesn’t matter honestly. Just that they grow. Looks like WWE closed the gap in the demo AEW has largely dominated.
Total viewers is simple a bragging rights number. The real story is the demo and in that case, TNT continues to be over the moon with how AEW is doing. I think most look at NXT and think "they can't sustain what they're doing" (with PPV-quality matchups every week) while with AEW they say "there's only room to grow."
lol. Vince just can't help himself. With these new options on Wednesday there's no legit reason for anyone to watch the main shows anymore WrestleMania 36 plans call for Bray Wyatt to be in one of the main event matches, according to WrestlingNews.co’s sources, so don’t expect a title change at Survivor Series. That site also says WWE plans to start building Roman Reigns up to the main event, and his name has been mentioned as a challenger for The Fiend at WrestleMania.
NWA Powerrr is an awful production. I suppose if you liked shitty 80s productions it would be right up your alley though.
NXT seems to always deliver one or two matches per week that are PPV quality. I don’t see that being a issue with the talent they have. I think both brands have growing room.
Full Sail crowds just kill NXT for me. Also I’m jaded by seeing what happens to most of these guys eventually. Hard to invest in guys when they end up becoming lame as hell, jobbers, or basically forgotten
I hope so. I'm ready to get past the Survivor Series/invasion stuff and get back to what NXT used to be. Not that I haven't loved the wrestling the past few weeks, but there's been too much "great match ends with a run-in by Raw/SD superstar" for my taste.
It didn't use to bother me but now I think it's clear the brand has outgrown it, especially if you're contrasting it with the bigger feel of Dynamite.
I agree... It’s been overkill on the other shows and right on the line with NXT. The Lynch match not getting a finish gave me bad vibes but at least they gave a finish to Riddle match
Braun laying out everyone around the ring to close out Smackdown sports entertained me. NXT booked strong tonight... They doing the job on sunday. lol Kevin Dunn is a fucking bitch. Turned the crowd mics all the way down during each CM Punk chant.
