If Balor is taking time off, who do you all think he faces at SummerSlam? Dont think he gets thrown to a title match right away, maybe Roman? Having him go over Roman would be a huge start to a push (if they let him go over Roman)
I would expect some sort of conclusion to Bray and Fin. Maybe going to Summer Slam with Demon vs Fiend and maybe the Demon has his first loss ever. Would be a really strong start for Bray.
Still cant believe Natty is getting a title shot at SS. Just baffling. She is top 3 with Tamina and Nia Jax who I'd least like to see in a title match on a RAW, let alone the 2nd biggest PPV of the year. Hell I would have taken Becky v Charlotte round 37281 over Natty
They've totally buried Becky Lynch since she got herself over. It's really impressive how Becky handed them gold and they totally botched and fumbled the whole fucking thing. - Giving her that injured angle and making her look like a loser for months - Deciding to have the program with Rousey go for months when Ronda can't work a fucking mic to save her life - Having to force in Charlotte because of it, making Becky's moment an overbooked disaster - Blowing their wads over Becky 2 belts for literally no reason. Becoming Becky 2 belts could have (and should have) been a program that carried her all summer long through SS, and defending both belts would have written itself till Survivor Series. Instead they fumbled it all and have shit booked her in a dead program with Lacey. - Being forced to team with Seth Rollins has killed her entire gimmick. Now they're shoveling dirt on the man by putting her with Nattie at Summerslam. Read this again anytime you start to wonder why WWE has no stars, and they have to rely on a bunch of dinosaur wrestlers to pop the ratings.
I feel like Natalya wont end up Becky's opponent. I think it'll be Ronda and Natty is just a smokescreen
I'm not sure, WWE has always seemed to have an inflated view of Natalya and see her as bigger than she actually is with fans. Although fans reaction to that match may change it. I didnt watch wrestling for first half of Natalya career but since I've watched wwe always seems to treat her as bigger than she really is. Dont know if its because she is a Hart or because she did something before I started watching or what.
Also the wrestling media seems to stick up for Natalya a lot for some reason too. I've seen raw recaps that have said she was the right choice despite fan reaction, hell bleacher report gave that fatal 4 way match a B grade (higher grade than they gave the Finn and Bray segment) and basically called the fans wrong for shitting on it. I'm at a loss on this situation
She is female Bret, that has always been the reason. It’s dumb because frankly 2/3rds of today’s audience don’t really know who Bret is or why he was a big deal so they don’t even really get the similarities they are trying to promote nor do they care Spoiler also, fuck bret
personally, I thought the crowd was out of line. didn't have a problem with the match. I don't think Natty should be in the title scene though unless she's there to give credibility to someone else. Becky doesn't need her for that.
I don’t mind if she gets a title shot occasionally. It makes for a different match up and she has been there for a long time putting in work and that should be rewarded when it is an appropriate time. Summerslam is not the appropriate time though, that’s what the B tier PPVs is for
They lost the crowd on the rest spots at the halfway mark of a fatal four way. Natty put on two or three and then Alexa applied one as well. The girls also worked hard but it was a poorly laid out match for it being so long and it being a multiple person match. Chanting what they did might have been a bit much but they weren’t wrong. The fans did respond positively with the post match promo. They were into the back and fourth
Natty comes from wrestling royalty. She’s also technically sound in the ring. It’s why she’s often put in the ring with NXT call ups. She worked with Ronda, Riot Squad, Mella. Hell you could point to her match in NXT with Charlotte as the moment Charlotte finally got over. So it’s no surprise WWE leans on her and probably why the wrestling media doesn’t bash her. As someone pointed out she can have these random title chances but should be for B shows. I’m sure WWE feels it can get away with it on Summer Slam because it’s taking place in Canada. Fans don’t like her because she’s bland. I made this point last night before the match started and someone just echo’d it. She’s the female version of Brett Hart. Gear, Kid giveaway, boring in ring style and a personality to match. The fans shit on Brett at the end of his run. It’s why they went with the Canada/USA story. It’s why he died a slow death in WCW character wise. Fans got tied of that baby face. Hogan also had backlash and he had way more charisma then Brett.
Kind of wish bray came back last month and beat demon finn at extreme rules and he took on Taker at summerslam. Could explain it as Bray got "punished" for his false God and demon stuff and now he is punishing "the demon" and the "deadman" the way he got punished. Build him towards a title after summerslam
I think she legit does a lot for the industry and training women and probably mentors a lot behind the scenes. Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like a lot of people respect and look up to her. Unfortunately in-ring character is boring and completely forgettable.

Feel like it's less about burying Becky and more about the lack of talent around her. The girls (besides Charlotte to a degree) who can work a mic can't wrestle and the girls who are good at wrestling can't work a mic. Sasha isn't quite at Becky's level on the mic, but she can drop bombs when she takes time and doesn't speed talk. Wresting-wise I'm pretty sure she's been a part of every woman's best match in NXT/WWE.
