The over the top rope lariat where the guy taking the move is halfway over the rope before the guy giving the lariat makes contact may be my biggest pet peeve in wrestling Blade had a particularly heinous one in that really odd trios match they were in a few weeks back with the white luchador
Tony Khan was on Richard Deitsch’s Sports Media Podcast and mentioned a bunch of high level Discovery execs will be at Dynamite next week in LA and Discovery is hosting an event for AEW afterwards. TK did say he is excited to develop that relationship, but it sounds like it’s been decent so far.
Discovery+ isn't a bad streaming service to land on... Especially when or if it merges with HBO Max. Or was this more about AEW getting moved off TBS and TNT and onto Discovery itself?
Well Warner Bros. Discovery is the name of the parent company now with the Discovery folks taking over the vast majority of C-level/leadership positions for the parent company, and many of the C-level/leadership positions with Warner got axed in the merger. Which is why most people are generally referring to the entire company as Discovery for short now - the folks you're dealing with for the big things are Discovery folks.
I had the misfortune to catch an hour of NXT in my hotel room last night. God it's a shit product. I think the worst part was Joe Gacy trying his best Bray Wyatt impersonation and not coming anywhere close.
Breeze back on UUDD with Woods is an awesome sight. He's also going by Breeze again (not Matt in the chair or Matt on the couch). And the episode released today was filmed at a Smackdown. Now he could have just signed a deal to appear on YouTube again, but wonder if he's been brought back to wrestle. Dont think he is a top star guy, but always thought they could do more with him
And that outfit she was wearing was ridiculous. Like I get why she was wearing it but first look I was like lolwut?
TL;DR root for the Celtics tomorrow night if you don’t want to have Double or Nothing probably running beyond midnight, potentially well beyond midnight…
What percentge of AEW fans watch any other sport or really anything else besides wrestling? I think we're definitley in the minority.
WWE sold 17K+ tickets already the new stadium will max out at 12k 17k may be low for a football arena… but that’s a shit ton of tickets for a B level PPV
It was terrible scheduling from the start. Doing it on a Saturday h2h with UFC and on a holiday weekend. Just stupid…
Bout to hop on my plane Going to Rampage, then eating expensive steak, and then hitting Da Club What I really want to do though is hangout with Great O Khan
Thats not the issue... They sold nearly 17k+ tickets for the event already. They fucked up the date to host the event.
I’m interested in seeing how many of those 17k bought tickets to: be a part of a stadium show See Reigns See Lesnar See Sasha See Charlotte and now they don’t get any of that.
I think MITB is a more popular "show" than Survivor Series or Summer Slam to the general public. It easily could replace either as a Big 4 or join them as a Big 5. I would imagine they fill the 12k seats with ease when they go on sale.
