Who is this guy on commentary with Michael Cole? He's horrible.
it’s Pat McAfee
It's a good thing they do an excessive number of camera cuts because there have been numerous spots that have been completely botched, but you could barely see it because of the camera cuts. And the second match isn't even done yet.
I have no sympathy for Cesaro he signed back up for this BS even though has always been misused
Pat McAfee is awesome. Watch his 2 takeover matches too. Outfuckingstanding
I have been less than impressed with his commentary performance during the tag match.
you seem to be hating every second of this event. I would advise you just shut it off so we don’t have to read another dozen post of you complaining like a bitch.
Pat is awesome
Madcap Moss hasn't won a match in two months, and that was a tag match. He hasn't won a singles match in over three months. Why is he getting a PPV match?
it was going to be a tag match and Jeff had his problems flair back up changing this entire thing
This post made by a man who earlier this week bitterly critiqued a match that A) he had never seen and B) hadn’t even aired yet
I never spoke on the actual match you dip shit. I said AEW as a company uses blade jobs way to often.
Edge is only one month older than Christian but he looks significantly older in the ring than Christian, and Christian has 200 more matches on his resume.
It sounds like you don’t like watching it very much. Why don’t you stop so we don’t have to see dozens more posts of you complaining like a bitch about it. Fuck off.
My 4 post in a 2 and half page convo really got to you huh. Your obsession with me is weird. Find help… it’s 2022 good time for a fresh start. Best of luck.
Need a WWE thread and a pro wrestling thread since they are 2 different things imo
literally the first time I’ve ever seen someone call Christian better than Edge.
In 2021 it would be a correct statement
you’re trying too hard now
It’s not trying when you’re just stating facts
Well, the man did have major, major surgery and was never supposed to wrestle again.
Christian looks so young when he does his move jumping out of the ring to slap a guy in the face.
wouldn’t matter… but I do agree you have two entirely different offerings going on.
Christian wasn't pretending to be a member of the Brood.
He really is an ageless vampire.
most of the matches tonight have been pretty good from what I’ve seen, but WWE refuses to pay off storylines. if Vince booked AEW Omega would have beat Hangman clean.
TK does a much better job of telling stories. It’s not even close. It’s more in line with what HHH was doing in NXT. Tony does a nicer job of extending out storylines past the top 5 matches.
Vince books a champ and it’s largely about his champion and not the challenger. It’s why when you believe in a challenger they don’t win.
My kid played with his kid at a neighborhood park once. I wanted to ask him how awesome was it to make out with Trish Stratus.
But I have a feeling his wife standing next to him would have been less than enthused.
This is Lesnar's second match in the last 21 months and they have both been title matches, lol what a joke.
lol there’s some longterm booking.
The main event was fucking nine minutes long...
Short but awesome…
I think Brock was going to take the title off Roman tonight. Covid changed that. Still I’m all about Brock vs Bobby at Mania.
lol man they just had a part-timer bury four of their top talents in a match he wasn't even supposed to be part of when we woke up this morning.
And this after they had Sheamus bury Cesaro and Ricochet.
Vince is a fucking idiot.
I would probably have Big E win the rumble and challenge Roman. Both title matches would be money. Probably going to get Drew instead :(
I actually forgot that the PPV was on tonight. Not that I'd have watched it over NYD football, but I totally forgot.
That being said, I am a solid yes into the Royal Rumble Lottery again this year. It'll give me an excuse to watch, then pay attention for five months, then slowly taper off to where I forget there is a NYD show. Wash, rinse, and repeat.
I feel like AEW gives you better quality matches with more sensical results regularly on their weekly shows than WWE just gave for their main event.
AEW honestly just needs more programming time so they can tell more stories and not jam so many guys into huge tag matches
Or make the YouTube shows something more than largely jobber matches in the interim.
Injured Earl Hebner would say the ref counted pins really slow in this match.
And Liv has become a good in-ring performer. That crowd was absolutely not feeling Becky either.
It was a well mapped out 5 man match, but fucking hate Big E taking that pin
I've just checked the Day 1 results... just ludicrous. Lesnar wasn't even in the match a few days ago and they feed 4 of their best to him, including the former champ (hope you enjoyed your reign, E - that's it for you now), because Vince absolutely HAD to put a belt back on him. Jesus, just be patient and do it at the RR if you have to. 3 or 4 weeks - that's all you needed to wait.
And then there's Liv getting squashed by Becky again. I mean, what's the point of getting invested in any of Becky's feuds, especially after that Summerslam bullshit that completely disrespected Bianca. Just go away, Vince - your product is a joke.
So their four big champs are
I guess if you fear change this is fantastic right now. Zero imagination.
ANd not only that, it was a glorified squash match, but instead of squashing jobbers, they just squashed for of their main event, top championship level talent. All this for a guy who, over the last 10 years, has averaged just 6.2 matches a year and 1 match a year on Raw/Smackdown, according to profightdb.com records. Five of those Raw/Smackdown matches came in 2017. The man has wrestled in a grand total of five matches in the last 25 months.
Only WWE storyline/match in '21 I enjoyed was Roman/Cena. The promos were fire, the ending going in had a hint of uncertainty, and the match was decent.
AEW tells those stories consistently with better wrestling.
Are people really still bothered by Brock Lesnar being a part timer that kills everyone? I have no watched a single wwe ppv in 2021 or current, but damn that'll never bother me. It's Bork, the most believable guy in the industry to me.
I've generally always hated part-timers getting championships or championship opportunities over the full-timers. Especially when said part-timers are old.
Probably the problem with majority fans being "smart" to the business then. It's not about skill, being over, looks, etc. But who you think deserves it more cause it's fake anyway. Just insert whoever cause it's not real. Don't work like that to me
Just because it's scripted doesn't mean these full-timers aren't putting in the work on a daily or near daily basis.
Heck no. He's taking millions from Vince to half ass it and shit on the product.
Can't knock the grift.
