IF this match doesn't finish with Brock giving Roman an F5 off the tractor then what are we even doing?
With the elaborate entrances across the board I think their creative goal tonight was to just remind people how big WWE can feel.
Imagine being a wrestling fan back in the day. Triple this Reigns title length and it's still less than Backlund. 4x it and still less than Bruno
Theory is an idiot too not waiting to cash in until after match ended. How'd a triple threat last man standing work anyway?
Theory getting crushed in one match and then a failed cash in attempt is about as much of a one night burial as you could d lo to him. lol
Just like that with Vince gone they're really SHAKING THINGS UP. Usos retain and then cheat to help Roman retain. GROUNDBREAKING STUFF. Breath of fresh air.
They were kind if pigeon holed into storylines based on when they took over. Also wouldn't shock me if Brock isn't booked after this. It's silly and lazy to judge the new regime for creative decisions at this point
Fuck it. I'm glad they overbooked the piss out of that match. At this point Roman/Brock deserves a laughing track.
He’s a fucking loser who lives to hate. He’s bitter because Uncle Dave told him Io was leaving WWE, Dakota was signing with AEW and Brock walked out of WWE. This was a very good show. Crazy fucking main event.
I thought it was fun. Wwe can do big events. I think most major storylines were booked through the Castle PPV. Some of those matches were blowoffs. It'll be interesting if they can keep building on it and making more changes and making their weekly shows watchable again
Shit was dumb. Roman didn’t actually get up twice. falling on the middle rope is not getting up… trying to give wwe a chance post Vince but after Becky and Bianca most of this night was rough. I don’t want to see a card with no AJ styles and KO but Logan Paul and macafee
I think they were in a bad booking corner thanks to Vince and did the best they could. Liv retained because people love her but we got the start of Ronda turn. I do agree the middle of the show wasn’t amazing. But it was fine. The only decision I didn’t like was Rey going over. I think you can easily have Judgement Day win, do a heavy beat down and then return Edge to make the save.
KO was injured and only just returned a few days ago. If you want work rate exclusive then even with HHH this isn’t for you. Maybe NXT in time will be.
HHH options were 1. Completely rebook summerslam weeks before it went on 2. Have Brock win, who likely doesn't have many dates after this and doesn't seem too keen on being there after Vince left 3. Have Theory cash in who isn't ready and fans aren't really behind 4. Book the match the same as every Brock v Roman match that's stunk it up multiple times 5. Or do something crazy like that so it is at least different with a memorable spot I think that was best of those options. It also helps that no other match was completely overbooked and full of shenanigans because it makes it more tolerable than seeing stupid silly shit all night Not saying it was great but think it's silly to try to call out new regime for that
Agreed. I hope after this we finally get to see Finn win some more. He;'s much better than Vince has been treating him over the years.
Loved original nxt and admittedly have not been following wwe outside of the results listening to Going in Raw podcast, so KO off the card gets a pass. just felt like a lot of things you wanted to accomplish you could have easily done… just have rousey get pinned. Why clearly have Liv tap? Bad booking imo. The fans popped for rousey after she beat up Liv. Building up this culmination of a decade match and Roman only wins cause of the Usos. Just have him go over.
People seem to have a short term memory about Triple H not being a "sports entertainment" guy. Have you ever seen one of his Wrestlemania entrances?
But still match quality could have been better. Like the Usos vs. Street Profits could have been another classic tag match, but all we got was a decent match that next to no one is going to remember in a week. I feel like it was a really good first two matches, mediocrity or less until the main event, and then a decent main event but one that will happen to have a pretty memorable high spot with the tractor thing even though it really didn't add anything of consequence to the match other.
Also I haven’t watched it but by all accounts macintyre and sheamus was one of the Better wwe matches in recent memory why waste it on smackdown? Should have been on tonight’s card would have probably been the match of the night.
