I agree, I don’t have a problem with how Roman won I enjoyed it. I agree in principle with 88. Gotta get away from screwy pins and have people go over clean more often then not. Either have liv lose or let her go over clean, I didn’t like that finish.
It's only been a couple weeks but I've noticed a more action packed style which I enjoy. The banned words being gone is awesome and seeing glimpses that more of the NXT guys Vince cast away will be used. On negative side while camera cuts have gone down, they still go nuts with them at times. Still changing people's names is annoying too. Those two things could have been improved on already. Booking I'll wait and see on because most of this (if not all) was booked in advance when Vince was there.
If Vince had the book Liv was losing this title. Imho… The pop was because finally WWE put Ronda in a role she can excel in. She isn’t a baby face. She’s a killer. I don’t like the ending. But Vince put them in a shit spot and HHH probably feels he can rehab Ronda Don’t agree that the Uso’s are the reason… but they are a unit and it was anything goes. For a break glass in case of emergency match thanks to Orton being hurt I think it’s fine. It was a spectacle. He did that shit with the book in NXT as well… You know that people who claimed to love NXT never watched the weekly NXT product and only the PPVs because HHH would give you gaga and sports entertainment all the time in NXT. He had Zombies rising from the dead to attack a wrestler… just saying
This. I’m a fan of Liv Morgan, she might not have a long reign but you couldn’t book her to lose her 1st defense. Let her make it through Clash at the Castle and I’m happy. Also, Ronda is way better as a heel imo. She also needs new ring gear. Maybe long tights because she’s always picking out wedgies during her matches
Just on a side note… I would love HHH to actually follow through with the womens tag tournament idea. Ronda/Bazler Io and Dakota Sasha/Naomi Call up a couple of NXT acts. Becky/Bianca let it play out over RAW and Smackdown with the champs being crowned at the UK show. Can weave in the singles stuff and set up a Ronda/ Bazler vs Sasha/ Naomi final. probably not enough time to get it all in but HHH could make it great.
Also the twitter rumor (I think started by Ronda's stylist) was Ronda demanded Liv beat her for the belt to reward Liv for being the hardest working girl in the locker room. Not sure Ronda would then want to immediately bury her and take belt back next month. Although that finish doesn't really make Liv look good anyway despite winning. But I guess it keeps belt on her and gave Ronda a reason to finally snap
The storyline going into the match was Ronda thought Liv was cute but without the element of surprise she was going to wreck her. Liv countered with yea your a bad ass but I care more about this. And they told that story in ring. Ronda dominated, was clearly better. But Liv refused to quit and refused to give up because it meant more. it’s not perfect but like I said a few days back… it’s a large ship that HHH is moving and I don’t expect major shake ups till they get past the Blood Money PLE
I agree with DetroitNole Liv may as well have dropped the belt the way it was booked. Really hated it. Just have Ronda get stacked and flip out. Her heel turn is justified in them fucking it up IMO. Its good they didn't have Liv drop it but it still made her look weak as fuck.
I can't say I've ever liked Sheamus, but this Sheamus/McIntyre match from Smackdown was by far and away better than anything on Summerslam.
HHH in like a week as head of creative gave me more reason to be excited about WWE (bumping Io Shirai to main roster, bringing back Dakota Kai and putting her on the main roster) than Vince has given me in at least a decade on the main roster. I still won't watch the weeklies until I hear of consistent signs of improvement (which will take a while I know), but at least the potential is there.
I always laugh when I read wrestling boards where people complain about not all finishes being clean and heels cheating to win. This is how wrestling has worked for 70+ years.
People long for the attitude era, go back and watch the attitude era, it was full of over booked non clean finishes with a lot of interference
I don’t have a probably with dusty finishes but they need to serve a purpose imo. Didn’t feel like those finishes added anything to the story being told
It's also a no DQ last man standing match, shenanigans are expected...whoever won the match was going to win by some ridiculous measure because both have been billed so highly they weren't going to be counted to 10 on a spear or F5
John Moxley apparently had bangers on back to back days this weekend. On Friday he faced Blake Christian in a GCW title match at The People vs. GCW that's rated an 8.87 on cagematch. Then he followed up on Saturday with a no DQ match vs. El Desperado at NJPW Music City Mayhem that's rated an 8.95.
Not a huge Mox guy but I appreciate the effort he has put in since leaving WWE. He rarely has a bad match.

Unless they cut him the largest check in the business, I don't think there was any chance under Vince. But I think he loves wrestling on the indies and with NJPW and not having to face the same opponents over and over again on the house show circuit. Like Cody Rhodes did when he returned, 25 matches, 19 against Seth Rollins. I don't know if HHH is going to let people do matches outside of WWE unless it's some special circumstance like what Jeff Jarrett is doing for Ric Flair's last match today.
My crazy brain is curious if this is a tease to a larger NXT storyline coming or just more of HHHs guys on the return
I have Peacock so I watched the Brock Lesnar match this morning after seeing him use a tractor on the ring and like do they just let that guy do whatever he wants? he looked like he was having the time of his life

It was gross, but people love Conrad and he gave this event cover. Ric looked like shit from the start, feels like someone with a brain should've stepped in and told him no. He couldn't make it to his feet the last half of the match.
