Flips and obviously choreographed moves are cool but when you see it 100 times in the same show in every match, I get numb to it. I get that some people like that stuff and that’s okay. Give me a good match with some actual story to be told and I’ll watch that over it 10/10 times.
Jesus man, here we go again. He is saying make it look real. Not 75 high spots where they are clearly working together to pull off something you would never see in a wrestling match but could see if you went to a competing gymnastics competition. You know exactly what he was saying but you still would to be argumentative.
Why can't we all just agree to like different forms of pro wrestling without taking it as a personal affront when someone doesn't like all the same things as you do?
This board was founded upon respectful disagreement amongst college football fans and gentlemanly sportsmanship
She's doing good work and is a heel, but I can't imagine a world where I could bring myself to boo Trish Straus.
I just assume that I've missed something but I've been a little confused that it's Jimmy spearheading the split with Jey trying to hold things together and not the other way around
Yes. I doing it joking around but some people like to take things way too seriously. It’s wrestling for fucks sake.
it all started with Roman bullying Jey into being subservient to him, he's the one with the Stockholm Syndrome not Jimmy
He literally described what happens in every major wrestling match. And you sure are angrily posting for someone who “doesn’t take it seriously”
that's the missing piece I knew Jey was the one who got bullied into submission but that's why I thought he'd be the one to eventually make the leap, had viewed Jimmy as kind of just being along for the ride without questioning things
The video package they did for the first Roman-Jey match was some of the best stuff they every produced. They had family photos of little Roman with Hogan and Macho. Photos of them as kids playing football. Just really put over Roman as the choosen one and alpha of the group his whole life. Best angle of the illustrious Thunderdome era. I remember Cornette saying something how the Samoans got into the business by going to matches in San Fran as fans and got hired after they beat the shit out of the heels for real.
I dont take it seriously. But week in and week out you are the only one that always gets butthurt. I shit on WWE and AEW but when it’s negative to AEW you always have to have a rebuttal. Tony got you on the payroll brother?
after today AEW is gonna have to really amp up something special for the PPV tomorrow, hopefully we get an Ace Steel cameo in the Anarchy match
Problem is they do some good video packages, they just don't put them on TV. They always putting out good promo/preview videos for Dynamite and the PPVs on their YouTube. They did the below video but aired it after Rampage. The weekly stuff they do for previewing Dynamite rarely makes it on TV in any capacity.
The Anarchy in the Arena match is going to be insane with all that talent in it and how willing most of them are to do stuff that only someone with a death wish should be willing to do.
If I were you, I would go out of my way to watch the Impact title no DQ match between Steve Maclin and PCO.
Thinking Gunther wins MITB and cashes in successfully on Seth at SummerSlam. Then, Seth will be a cunt making comments outside of WWE about not being the #1 babyface.
Gunther as the wrestling "purist" talking shit about the concept of the briefcase, only to turn around and cash it in at the most opportune moment would be good stuff
I saw something that said they should have it come out that the reason Brock is going so hard on Cody and the reason Solo came back out at Mania is because Vince and Triple H are paying guys bounties in the back because he started AEW and the whole throne thing. Just spend the whole year shitting on him, have him win the Rumble against all odds, and then maybe use Gunther and MIB to set up a 3-way between those guys at WM so Roman can take a break and Cody already has a significant feud with Gunther to run with when he finally wins.
Yep, I’d toy with him saying he’ll only cash in the briefcase in a scheduled match, but then have him surprise cash in.
Feels like it needs to be said: Everyone is talking about Gunther winning the title sometime in 2024 but in the history of WWF/E, you can count on one hand the number of times someone everyone pegged as "a world champ in a year" actually won the world title. On the other hand, there is a very long list of guys who won the title that no one saw coming a year prior. People are talking like it's foregone that Cody v Roman II will headline Mania 2024, and I get that Triple H is much more consistent and patient as a booker than Vince but...the man ain't dead yet. There's no way to know who will be hot (or allowed to be hot) in a year.
Gunther is absolutely a great heel for a big face to take the belt off on one of the big 3 PLEs after a great build. Hopefully they follow through…
My DoN predictions + a little fantasy booking Trios title: The House of Black beats whoever accepts the open challenge, which is likely The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn Unsanctioned match with Sabu as Special Enforcer: Adam Cole over Jericho - Kyle O'Reilly returns, someone in JAS turns or plants the seeds of turning to begin the breakup of the JAS TBS title: Taya Valkyrie over Jade - though I disagree, I just have a feeling they might do it. This will also likely be the worst match of the night by a pretty significant margin Women's title: Toni Storm over Jamie Hayter - if not for Hayter's injury, I would be picking her. International title 21-man Blackjack Battle Royale: I see 4 legitimately potential winners here in OC, Swerve, Jay White, and Ricky Starks. So I am going with Swerve Strickland TNT title Ladder Match: Wardlow over Christian Cage - though I would much prefer to see Christian win it Tag titles with Mark Briscoe as Special Referee: Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett over FTR. Aubrey Edwards tries to fuck them over yet again but Jarrett takes her out with a guitar shot AEW Title Four Way: MJF easily, but Jungle Boy turns heel and becomes Jack Perry Anarchy in the Arena: Elite over Blackpool Combat Club - Don Callis brings out Takeshita when shit starts to hit the fan for BCC and Kota Ibushi debuts to even the odds. Think we see Shota Umino pop up at some point as well. Moxley ends up being taken to the hospital due to excessive blood loss.
