meanwhile "international megastar" Okada hasn't made a single dent in AEW's ratings and attendance, they are doing the same numbers they were doing before he showed up, worse actually when it comes to TV ratings
everybody says New Japan's business is tanking and the yen is steadily falling so good on Okada to know when to bail and go get the big US payday
It's amazing what putting someone in a hot angle and making them look credible can do. I would have introduced him cold and then have a 20 minute banger, but more than one way to skin a cat.
This is on Comcast, but they've been running the commercial on Raw/NXT with Cody talking about Olympic gold medalist wrestler David Taylor and the upcoming Olympics. Well, after tonight's match Taylor didn't qualify for the Olympics. Certainly some Dan vs. Dave vibes now lol.
That Toni promo is maybe going to be one of the best (if not the best) female promos this year. Danielson cut a very good but babyface promo. Bryan just stay in the upper card stuff please. He still has one more great face run in him if he wants it.
Not saying they’d be main eventers with a different character, but HHH has to get better than how Vince (and American pro wrestling in general) presents wrestlers whose primary language isn’t English but still still speak English well. I mean Veer had a story that fucking Disney made a movie about and they were still like we’re gonna make him a random culturally stereotypical foreign bad guy. These two are pretty damn solid in the ring too.
I’ve seen a ton of AEW fan accounts on Twitter pushing this narrative. Using Judgement Day and Damage control as examples…. Not shocked you would parrot those idiots.
Judgment Day might be one of the more diverse factions in wrestling history White (Rhea, Balor, JD), Latino (Dom and Priest), and Black (R Truth)
Looks like that one older dude in the IT dept that “keeps seeing these damn kids come in here thinking they’re going to make all these changes, and they ain’t changed nothin”
