Now update his render so he doesn't look so ridiculous. I'm sorry, I still have trouble taking him seriously
Despite the rumored injury, guessing that Giulia wasn't meant to be in NXT too long. Introduce her to the crowd and her to the production, then onto the main roster. Same probably for Vaquer and Grace.
Pretty excited. Putting together a little trip for the family in May. Smackdown in Savannah, GA, then head down to Tampa for SNME, NXT PPV, and Raw. My kid will be over the moon when he finds out. WWE is really fun right now. Hopefully we're still in Mania fallout mode and not coast through the summer mode. These TakeOver weekends are brilliant. Hoping to make a few this year. They have 3 and 4 day packages so planning should be easier. TKO has really done an incredible job with their new ideas.
I watched that Cora Jade and Grace match and holy shit is Cora trash in the ring... 1v1 she looks like she belongs in Evolve. And I thought she was improving because of that 4 way. Nope. I'm 100% sure that match was stopped because she is the drizzling shits.
one of my first memories of the pro graps was LISTENING to the summerslam where it was Lex against Yokozuna on an aircraft carrier (I think). The PPV channel was scrambled but the sound was perfect so I just sat on the ground next to the TV and listened like it was a 1920s radio
Running this match back on free TV this quickly is hilarious, they knew they fucked up. This will probably have all the run ins and returns that Bryan Alvarez said were originally planned and then nixed for the PPV match
Little surprised they’re already throwing Megan Bayne in with Toni even though Megan has future champ written all over her Even with some of the bizarre decisions the past year, AEW has really managed to do pretty dang well the women’s division the past 6-12 months. More talent on the roster certainly helps, but one of the positives for AEW lately is the drastic improvement of the women’s division from basically being WOW level to actually entertaining.
I wonder if he is doing anything behind the scenes with the writers and Tony. Seems like storylines are slowly getting better.
didn't realize that Speedball karate guy is as small as he is MJF's fake tan was on another level tonight
Between that bizarre segment with Thunder Rosa and this, Penelope Ford needs a lot of training with a chair. Legit seemed like she was way too scared she was going to hurt Willow.
Heel Jay White is who should've been the champ instead of Mox. Somehow needed to get creative with Christian's cash in at Revolution and White somehow wins the belt just so we can be done with Mox's reign regardless how ridiculous it'd be that White won the belt. MJF/Hangman just excellent stuff again.
I heard someone speculate that they think Mox’s run has fallen flat because people don’t really support his opponents and if they feed him several big baby faces in a row it’ll legitimize him for when Darby comes back. So don’t get your hopes up swerve beats him.
Random thought: I feel like Nick Wayne is always trying not to break character when he's trying to be serious. I was waiting for it to happen last night when him and Christian were going at it.
It’s flat because they built the entire main event scene (and for a while there, the entire show) around a dominant faction where only 1 guy has any real charisma or promo ability, and those promos have mostly been the same old shit he’s been doing for 6 straight years in the company except they are even more vague and rambling than before. Also they decided to randomly start treating a woman who was a jobber on shows like Rampage and Dark like prime Chyna and book her to beat up the men on the roster. plus when they started the storyline and it was more of a company takeover angle, none of the top good guys were involved and instead you had losers like the Dark Order or Private Party and Action Andretti (superstar made in 1 night) as the ones leading the charge defending the honor of AEW
Imagine running a company and delaying storylines because you want a talent who chose to climb a mountain over doing his job to be the face of the company. Big yikes
It’s a pop and then what…… I like Darby but he has been propped up by Sting and Punk his big run. They are both gone and he isn’t nearly as interesting by himself.
The AEW fan base clamors for the hot talent, gets the result it wants and bores with it instantly. rinse and repeat for the last 5 years.
I don't remember the entire story of Tessa, did she pull a Hogan and say something racist and never really apologize?
Even the Europeans (great crowd again) want nothing much to do with Charlotte. She 100% should've returned as a heel off the bat. And wardrobe, don't have Charlotte/Tiffany wearing almost the exact same outfits/colors again.
I gotta say I don't watch nearly as much as I did a few years ago minus the big PPV. So I haven't seen a lot of the new crop in ring a lot who haven't been featured. But everytime I see tiffany stratton I think "this is who they are building as a future top female star?" Ive seen some brutal mic work in segments, awkward ring action and botches. I'm never really impressed when she's on screen, but again maybe I'm missing the great stuff she has done. This feels like a Vince push
Yeah I totally get that, but the audience just connects with her. She's obviously on the path towards white meat babyface, but I worry that character work will be much weaker than her heel work.
