Is there a thought Sami turns heel after interacting with Kross backstage? Was thinking he could turn on Punk after he lost the qualifying match. Even though there was interference he could say Punk should have stayed focused on the match (like he said) rather than helping Sami earlier on. The way he put so much pressure on him to win it, then the Kross interaction had me thinking.
I don’t know how they could do a full Sami turn and get people to hate him. At most I could see like a reluctant half ass heel turn like when Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatts for like a month before turning back. They talk so much on screen lately about Sami not winning the world title, it seems like they are setting up him winning the Rumble in Saudi in 6 months
Don’t disagree. Mostly after the Kross interaction I started wondering “how” they could do it (if they did) and that was all I could think of at this point.
Sami has given off heel turn vibes. The RAW after mania it felt like he was going to turn on Jey. The crowd even reacted like it was about to happen. But the constant “never be champ” narrative also feels like the setup for the rumble like you mentioned and they wouldn’t make him a heel for that moment.
Sami is a guy that to me can’t be a heel. Not saying he can’t (or hasn’t) pull it off but to me he’s just a guy that’s easy to like based on in ring and how he seems to be outside too.
the music was so unfamiliar I thought maybe someone new was debuting, instead it was the superstar made in one night Action Andretti
I think everybody thought it was a big debut, because of the music. And then those two jabronies walk out.
the first 2 hours didn’t feel like anything close to a PPV, doubt they’d save the big stuff for the Collision portion but we’ll see
I don't want to link his account but someone created a x account titled is Roxanne Perez dead yet? And there is a pinned tweet with tomorrows date and it posted seemingly her address and every day makes a countdown post to tomorrow date
Almost every match last night was awesome. They seemed like a bunch of one-offs for the most part, but great matches.
wish I could’ve seen TK’s face when Ospreay said AEW sucks right now during his interview at the start of the show
Maybe just a matter of personal taste, but Vaquer is the best female wrestler I have ever seen. Props to that deaf Randy Orton looking mf in NXT for pulling that.
that Worlds Collide show doing 11K at the Forum is wild considering how little main roster star power is part of the show
Mr Iguana was like Goldust meets Santino, I was laughing from him just making his entrance alone. Looks like they already have a shirt for him available on the website. the double Devil's Kiss by Steph and Lola was
that show didn't feel very much like a WWE show and as a result it made it a very fun watch, almost similar to an old NXT Takeover
Production was a bit rough throughout the show. Especially the camera cuts. Konan was brutal. The rest was fine. You could see the difference between the WWE guys who are so smooth and the AAA guys that maybe were nervous but not clean
Yall remember Nick Khan trying to crown MITB as part of the new “big 5” PLE’s? Gabe up on that real quick.
Its been seen as a bigger PPV than Survivor Series for most of its existence, no? It helps that the central match crowns a number 1 contender. Survivor Series is just a bunch of fun gimmick matches with no stakes.
Naomi wasn’t my first choice, second choice, third choice, fourth choice, or fifth choice but let’s see what they do with it.
