Drew and E was another good match. Woods being the King is great. Kinda hope they use it to turn him heel as the crown corrupts him. Been a really strong show despite the shit location to host it.
yay for Woods. It hasn't been a big deal to win KOTR since like 2002 or so, with one or two exceptions since then, but this has been Woods' dream and New Day deserves all the nice things. Happy for him.
I’ve had it on at my desk. It’s been decent enough. None of the matches have really stood out. Super happy for Woods, happy for Vega. She looked moved by it. She’s been through a lot of shit with this company so I was rooting for her. I’m assuming we get some storyline progression with Reigns/Lesnar/Heyman so that should be a positive. Not something I would plan four hours around, but putting it on in the background has been fine. You wouldn’t miss anything by just reading the results.
Just watched a clip of the triple threat match with Belair/Becky/Sasha. They've got the women wearing full body suits.

They weren't and their 1400s style laws says they have to be completely covered. I know Nattie was the first woman to wrestle there but I forgot who she wrestled.
No excuse for how little time they gave this tournament. Its really Attitude/Diva era level garbage. I know some of the talent isn’t on the level of Becky, Sasha, Bianca but you got to let them have more time. Especially when you have three hours to fill every Monday night.
The entire women’s tournament took a combined match time of 19:35. Longest match of the tournament was tonight clocking in at 5:55 the entire tournament lasted 17 seconds longer than Bryan Danielson vs Suzuki Yikes.
It's being used to launch Zelina's new character. So she's going to get a big push. But under 3 min matches is a disgrace.
Becky/Sasha/Bianca got more time yesterday than the entire QC tournament. So clearly they will give some talent time. But they deserve to be shit on...
I have such high hopes for what he can do as "king" I know they wont ever get close to the ideas I have but Woods got to live out a dream so that's great.
What I love about AEW is they invest you in a story. Andrade and Pac have a backstory you buy into. The last time WWE did a real build was Kofi and that fell into their lap. The Page win will feel so personal because they are taking time to let you buy in.
