More likely to have a title change? It’s title vs. title. Unless they do some bullshit DQ finish which they rarely ever do, someone is walking out of that match with two belts. But no, the AEW Championship match should main event an AEW mini PLE.
No need to waste debuting Jade on NXT TV when you can debut her in front of several hundred thousands more viewers on Raw or over a million more viewers on Smackdown. If you’re paying her a premium for a new signee, then you give her the premium treatment, not the developmental treatment. You can still put her down in the PC for training but you put her on the Raw or Smackdown rosters. If you don’t want to her to get exposed in the ring early on, you put her in programs with veteran talent on TV and let her do the house show circuit. But to be fair she looked better in her match with Stat, but Stat’s match with Britt was good too. So that may have been more of a Stat carrying the matches thing than Jade improving a ton in her time off.
There is very little difference in the NXT and AEW numbers. I would imagine both those shows are being viewed by the most hard core of wrestling fans. I don't think her debuting in Iowa (or insert small town WWE frequents) is going to garner her a reaction if she is on RAW or Smackdown even though more eyeballs are on those products. Sure people will pop big in the major cities but I don't think she's well known enough to be on RAW or Smackdown unless you put her in the biggest of spots. This isn't Cody returning to WWE where he grew up and understood how to work the hard cam and how to work the WWE style he grew up in. Jade is green in ring and green when it comes to TV production. Either way I'm very curious how she is positioned on the brand they put her on.
They are doing Monday Night Football on ABC all season long thanks to the strike so those record lows will stay put for months
Do you know if they’ll be taken off ABC if the strikes end soon enough to put the normal Monday night content on ABC before MNF ends?
does addition of ABC really make that much of a difference? also wouldn't NFL on ESPN and a non-football option like the Bachelor or something on ABC make things worse for WWE? and the two games thing has been set. this week, next week and then another week in December have two games.
Yeah it seems like people who have cable and who want to watch MNF will do so on either ESPN or ABC, and people who don't will watch it on ABC, but if you don't then you're not watching WWE on cable anyway, so the whole move to ABC seems irrelevant to WWE. It's purely about giving the OTA network content that it is lacking due to the strike.
Is that a recent picture of Matt Riddle? Has he always looked like that, with the torso of a heavyweight and the arms of a middleweight?
Madi Wrenkowski! I hope they give her a shot. Though I don’t see her ever amounting to much in the main roster.
Richard Holiday was in MJF’s group in MLW. I think he had cancer or something. I watched it when they first started out and had Bruce and Cornette involved. The other guy in their group Hammerstone would probably be someone both companies are interested in when he’s available.
“The sherpa is taking his pack off…that’s Luchasaurus!!!!!!!!!! He is tossing Darby down from base camp!”
I have no memory of Hogan and HBK tagging, but i assume it was in the runup to their infamous Summerslam match
no he was right, Shawn turned on Hogan after they tagged to set up their match at Summerslam 05 where Shawn did the comedic overselling
That was 18 years ago, geez louise. 18 years before that, Hogan was taking on Andre the Giant at WMIII
All I want is knife edge chops, powerslams, and spinebusters If you do anything else you're just a try-hard
Every move gets watered down over time. Even the stunner is now a transitional move. The Irish whip was originally used as a finisher by Danno O'Mahony, who won the world's title with it in the 30s. Spoiler: and also there's this - the greatest Irish whip ever
