Nick Gage vs Chris Jericho is a thing in 2021 and I am here for it goddamnit
who gang affiliated
Jericho has to wrestle the guy he narrated an hour long episode about what a crazy shithead he is.
Lol that was surreal
I'm here for DeToxRox popping for MFing Gage
Gage and Cardona this weekend too
These mfers got me to buy their fucking show
This is bad
Like the tribute to Eddie though
I admittedly don't watch a ton of AEW, but always read about how great Britt Baker is. Based on the matched I've seen, her in ring work leaves a lot to be desired imo.
Watch her match vs Thunder Rosa or shida.
The show was hit or miss tonight, but that main event was awesome. Curious where they go with Moxley next.
So pumped Archer went over
Watched the Thunder Rosa match when it happened. Good match, but still felt the same way.
Next week looks great and the homecoming show will probably have a ton of surprises
How the fuck did they get Jericho to agree to wrestle Nick Gage? No fucking way Jericho is going to let that motherfucker chop him up
Brit is really, really over
Vince: NXT? More like NoneXisTent
Vince is def making NXT pay for failing to win the Wednesday Night war.
So All Out is for sure going to have the following:
I'm curious also to see where they land Mox at.
The real question is who is Punk going to come out and challenge. Punk's going to get a huge pop so it'd be perfect for him to come out and challenge Omega but no way they don't have Hangman go over. Same with Cody but if Cody is standing tall after Black's debut....thats some WWE shit. Possibly MJF wins and starts talking shit on all of the washed up has beens and Punk's music hits.
He challenges Hook.
Hook wins in three moves.
he and Danielson form a tag team to take on the Bucks.
If it isn’t Omega for the title (and it shouldn’t be) it has to be Cody. It won’t be believable if he comes out of retirement to call out anyone else
It should be Cody but it definitely would be a little weird for him to challenge Cody right after he loses to Black. Idk. I’m just excited for that crowd pop regardless of who he challenges. That place will explode.
I think Punk may want to work with one of the younger guys. Maybe someone like Darby or MJF
with the way things have gone for Cody lately, Punk abusing him on the mic might cause irreparable damage to his career.
It will be MJF. He will beat Jericho and then cut a promo referencing Jericho's "best in the world at what I do" line, and then the Best in the Worlds music will hit and out he comes.
That's what I am calling anyways.
I unironically want this
My gosh, the promos MJF and Punk could cut on each other.
I legit think MJF could make his ass quit with some of the things he could say on the mic.
But if you don't think Punk is itching at the chance to call out Cody Rhodes for his sanctimonious bullshit, well just wait till he gets the chance to do just that.
Punk in AEW is going to be like Steve Austin in ECW. It may not last very long but it's going to be straight fire and aggressively cathartic.
I just want a Second City Saints reunion. Something tells me that won’t happen though.
But anyway, give me Punk/MJF, Punk/Kingston, Punk/Moxley and Punk/Omega.
Cody is the obvious target but because they just put Cody with Tommy End, you can't have Cody going over in that one.
Fuck Billy Silverman, too.
Tony must have gotten a bump in his allowance.
Wrestling pretty cool rn
I know, right? I can't believe Goldberg is back either.
well here's one lapsed fan who will be tuning in
Mox with control of his character went from unwatchable to top guy, Brodie Lee went from glorified jobber to one of the hottest acts in wrestling, Punk and Danielson are both way more talented than both of those guys. I can’t wait to see what they do
I think if both weren't signed by now they AEW would have put out a statement denying it. They couldn't handle the backlash by this point if they weren't signed.
If he signed today they need to announce it ASAP, but I would hold off the debut until All Out, unless they want to hot-shot a match for him. Otherwise, make the announcement and get eyeballs tuning into the shows leading up to All-Out, get lapsed fans interested in the rest of the product and keep hyping up his debut at the end of August. Then maybe on the Dynamite after All-Out announce Brian Danielson will debut at the New York show in late September, and repeat the strategy.
The days of having surprise appearances is probably over. I think after Sting walked out last year there was a report that TNT would prefer formal announcements to gin up ratings.
Could be what Tony's major live announcement is this Wednesday.
