Ohhh, good catch. She went from being pretty apologetic to typical Agatha after she realized she stole the Blood Magick. Nick told her to stop so she knew Teen wasn’t him. Still think it was odd she instantly figured out he’s Billy. But good for our little Wiccan!!! Fuck them witches up!
Future episode potential trial character spoiler Spoiler Some nerd casts were saying, we’ve seen they will do a Wizard of Oz themed trial. Almost assuredly it will be Patti LuPone’s since she’s so anti witch stereotypes. I guess in one of the behind the scenes featurettes in the background you can see a blurry Billy in a Dorothy costume.
I don’t think Wiccan has ever had the total power of Wanda but he’s so OP compared to our typical MCU characters. Really hope Tommy shows up in a completely random property. Surely they’re setting up a Young Avengers/Children's Crusade storyline.
Finally got around to watching NewRockstars. Couple tidbits I missed. When they enter the cabin Billy says his spell book was missing and they went through and saw he had it in every seen even walking into the cabin. I think Rio probably took it from him. Also, I didn’t realize Billy was controlling Lilia and Jennifer when they threw Agatha. I thought they’d just got pissed watching her kill Alice. But if you zoom in their eyes are glowing blue because he can mind fuck pretty much anyone.
Also, forgot to post this earlier about the end credits theory. Spoiler The head of the 7 actress was placed on the picture of the kid in a witch costume (we’ve now learned the 7 are the kids of the witches Wanda killed). So that leaves one final picture, the pentagram around Westview. Sure seems like one big cameo is still out there. Edit: Oh shit, look who’s showing up to NYCC, pinned at the top of their page….
Holy shit. Spoilers and lots of theory confirmation in this. So beware. Spoiler Sound nerds are claiming the final line at 1:06 is.. “Will Agatha Harkness” - Plaza “finally meet her end” - Olsen I can hear it but they sound so similar not sure if I buy it. Edit: Also interesting he’s Maximoff and not Kaplan. Car crash and soul transferring confirmed. Guess we get a flashback of him going from Kaplan pre crash to Maximoff
Also, this isn’t happening but DO NOT tease me with the Spoiler Agatha’s toast “to harbingers of Doom” and then show a clip of Agatha and Billy standing in front of a castle that looks exactly like Castle von Doom. If they are setting up the Children’s Crusade and what Billy wants from the road is to find his mom, we know that’s where she’s at. Still think the final cameo has to be Olsen (most likely) chance at SBC. But oh my god if they want to break the internet (it’s not happening I know) and the final cliffhanger is RDJ “I know this will disappoint you child, but your mother is here of her own free will.” I would not survive.
No, just hyped that they didn’t wait till the final episode to confirm Wiccan and missed it caption observant.
Before tonight’s episode drops one theory on Billy that all the Nerds are dropping: Also, at some point we’ve got to get a flashback episode, think it might be today. Spoiler Everyone’s running with the thought that Billy’s had powers the whole time and he’s been playing Agatha since the first episode. He placed the sigil on himself and has been in control of every trial. Some even think this all might be a hex he set up like Wanda’s but I doubt that, Rio would fall for that (unless she’s in on it as well). The other one I’ve seen some people say, the second Agatha said “he’s just like his mother” she ID’d him and that undid the sigil and gave him his powers. Hyped for tonight.
Knew they had to put a flashback in sometime soon. In 20 minutes they wrapped up the Kaplan/Maximoff who/what are they better than the comics ever have. The “Bohner family camp out ‘lets pitch tent’” shirt was hilarious, as well as “I don’t want to go back in the closet.” Scratching my head over the boyfriend, why go with “Eddie” either say he’s Teddy or just call him Frank or something not close.
Credit theory revisited Spoiler Since it’s clear he’s using the road to find Tommy maybe they’ve cast him already and that’s who will show up in the final slot (the pentagram around westview)
Need some clarification Spoiler Wanda’s kids in the spell were fake/part of her vision right? and so this fake kid had an actual soul that inhabited a body?
Yooo. Just thought of this. Lidia didn’t place the sigil to hide Billy from Agatha, she did it to hide him from Wanda. If she could see Wanda going full Darkhold and she could see how powerful Billy would become she knew she had to keep them separated. Remember when Agatha tells Billy “every witch with a beating heart can hear you now”. This also allows Multiverse of Madness to take place without a giant plot hole now. Great writing. I went back and watched the palm reading scene to see if there were any other hints there and didn’t see any. I didn’t notice last night but it’s cool that every time you see the crystal ball it reflects Billy not William.
Spoiler The comic origin is insanely complicated and doesn’t make any sense because it happens over like 6 different series with different writers and doesn’t really link together. Wanda creates the kids with magic, except she didn’t, Mephisto’s soul had been broken up and she just implanted them onto Mephisto, Mephisto uses them as puppets and takes them back, Agatha erases Wanda’s mind, when she snaps and forms the House of M she reclaims their souls and they’re bonded to two newborns William Kaplan and Thomas Sheppard, during Children’s Crusade Magneto tells them their birth parents provided their bodies but their souls are from Wanda and they’re his grandkids. Like I was saying last night, they smushed all of that into a pretty simple solution, in the hex the bodies were never real but the minds/souls of the children were, Billy hightailed it out of there and found the first body (empty vessel as Agatha said) to bond with. No weird Mephisto/Agatha/Reed Richards shit, the show did a much better job than the comics. I bet we see something similar in the Vision and Wonderman series on how they restore Vision back to normal.
Spoiler I dont wanna really step on toes but it feels very stupid that a made up kid was actually something that could take over someone's body I dont read the comics so im just going off of the shows/movies, but throughout the whole episode it was very confusing bc I assumed the kids were fake but this ep was trying to making them real
Spoiler That’s how powerful Wanda is. In House of M she literally rewrote the entire world, like everyone woke up as a different person with different lives. She can rewrite and warp reality to her will. Conjuring up a couple souls is light work.
End credits Spoiler Forgot to check last night. Just went back, Evan Peters fills into the final missing spot. Looks like the gangs all here, no Lizzy or SBC
Spoiler The twins exist in the multiverse, just not our Wanda’s universe. Whatever stopped her from having kids in this universe, she changed, manifested them, and kept them existing in the hex. Until she broke it. At least that’s my logic.
Spoiler right but not existing in this universe is my issue because the hex ended and that manifestation somehow became real and took over a body idk, im fine if others like it but I just think it's a very weird decision to basically just become some dumb reveal that they get to hype instead of focusing on an actual plot and story
It’s already been explained… What is grief if not love persevering. She has the ability to rewrite reality. Through her grief she manifested vision and the twins. Why would the big climatic robot fight end with a thought experiment? What is the real ship? Who is the real vision? What are the twins? Through her love persevering she created a family, their bodies weren’t real but their thoughts, memories, emotions all were, that’s why you see vision literally manifest out of her, that’s why we explore the Ship of Theseus. It’s not the vessel new or old, it’s the voyage and the history.
Spoiler It's comic book logic. She drew pieces of their souls throughout the infinite multiverse to create actual twins with souls in her universe. No physical form outside the hex but actual souls. Again, it’s comic book logic.
Did I miss what happened to Rio at the end of the episode where we got the Billy reveal? She was in the house, then they escaped and mourned Alice, the reveal, and then throwing the other witches in the bog. No Rio and she’s not in the episode after when we come back from the flashback.
