If only he paid as much attention to things that really matter.
Getting to the personal attacks on dbl from the fellow bama fans phase of this. We should probably cycle to this about once a round.
Like raising your kids? Unfortunately there is a mom that won’t get to do that because your star player delivered a gun used to murder her.
This isn’t that difficult.
I’m invested in Alabama basketball and I want Brandon to be innocent and not have known what was going to occur when he arrived at the scene.
If it was JD Davidson I would expect him to be behind bars right now.
Most have read what occurred and have judged it likely that he knew the gun was in the car and at least should have known what was likely to occur when he arrived at the scene and based on that should be disciplined which isn’t a ridiculous thing to believe.
And we all agree Alabama and Oats has handled the whole situation poorly.
Just to be clear my post about dblplay1212 ’s jeep ducks was in jest and not a personal attack
Ducks are weird imo.
It’s fascinating (and telling) that you used this justification:
to respond to the point that Miller delivered the murder weapon, but upon finding out that you were wrong, made no effort to reflect or consider how your mistaken information should affect your ultimate conclusion.
And again, you rationalizing alternative views to people just wanting likes says a lot about you.
Being unable to admit that you were wrong says a lot about you.
Wrong about what?
Why is his armed guard wearing a bama hoops polo? Am I the only one that sees that as strange?
It's almost like the ultimate conclusion was where they started and then looked for things that supported only supported that.
Probably to blend in and not draw attention imo.
I mean the gun on his waist holster defeats this
If they wanted to avoid attention they wouldn’t have announced it to millions of people.
I believe the media saw him and asked about him. I don't think they just broadcast it.
It came out because Oats got asked about it, not because they announced it right?
You never know with this team, could just be another player.
I mean of course the media asked about this guy. Put on a coat and cover the gun, at least. This is a surreal photo from a baseltball shootaround.
Or just have the armed state trooper that is present for every game serve the same function.
Doesn’t seem like the walk-on was in the car.
parked next to a jeep yesterday that had a stormtrooper duck on the dash. I guess that's the one he's most proud of
Look at the big brain on brad. Yes, people think that someone who is involved in a murder should have been kicked off a basketball team. That’s really not a controversial take.
he was asked to bring a gun he didn’t know he had? I mean you’re smarter than this. The logical reply to “bring me my gun” if you don’t know you have a gun is “what gun”. GMAFB
What should can we say about the 2 guys that are in jail? They are being held responsible for their actions there really isn’t anything to discuss about them. I mentioned that a young woman of color lost her life and you guys don’t care because you care more about winning a game and you accused me of race baiting.
you know for sure he saw the text?
We can agree to disagree, but bringing up race when he’s defending a person of color is race baiting. I mean isn’t that the same system you guys rail against? Where people of color, especially black men don’t get a fair shake?
he saw the other text asking to get picked up but not this one? It just seems like you have to jump through hoops to paint Miller in a positive light. Most logical conclusion is that he knew his teammate brought a gun and was taking him that gun. And like I’ve said before maybe what he did wasn’t criminal but at the very least it warrants a suspension from the team.
I’m not asking for Miller to be in jail. I’m saying he shouldn’t be playing basketball in college anymore. That’s it, not that he shouldn’t be allowed play ever again. Just that because of his role in this young woman being killed he should face some sort of consequences. Her being a woman of color matters to me. But, not once did I say that is why he didn’t care I literally said it was because of winning.
Have fun Saturday devine
As stated several times before, Brandon Miller isn't a random young black man. Even suggesting the system is working for anything other than a celebrity/about to be very wealthy person is disingenuous at best.
I’m also not saying he should be arrested.
Oh wow fans of opposing teams that hate Alabama think Miller should be suspended. How convenient
this is the entire country rn
Always has been
as a UCLA fan I have no thoughts on Alabama basketball.
lol maybe win something before you think you matter
your team has a chance at a title and Bama is a very legitimate contender
I dont think even Alabamians gave a shit about the program until 8 weeks ago
I have to look at the bracket but I don’t think we’d meet until the final so a lot of stuff can happen before that. What I mean is I’m not saying he should be suspended because we might meet in a couple weeks.
I think he did see the text and did know the gun was in the car or else his lawyer would have clearly refuted those things, but for all we know his internal reaction was "what do you mean you need your gun" or "why's he always got to be so dramatic" and he planned to address it when he got there to pick up Miles.
Is it not a lot simpler/more logical explanation that Miller was in disbelief by the text or didn't take it seriously than that he decided on a moment's notice to help his teammate murder someone over an altercation he wasn't even a part of?
I believe he saw the text and knew about the gun. It’s the intention that keeps me from thinking he should be arrested. But, while he might not be criminally responsible, he did play a significant part in the death of the young woman. That is why I think he should have been suspended. We both agree that he was asked to bring a gun that he delivered that gun and that gun was used to kill someone. That should warrant some sort of punishment.
At the very least Miller did not do enough to keep a murder from happening
Yeah I don't want that to come off like I'm absolving him. I think carrying guns that don't belong to you and associating with people like Miles are bad decisions that reasonably lead to bad outcomes. And even if he didn't think it was a real ask he could've done more to keep Miles from getting the gun and he didn't. There's plenty there that seems like it should be able to fall under some kind of conduct detrimental to the team policy or something at the very least, to say nothing of how little (nothing) Alabama did to look into the situation itself.
Whether it meets the legal standards or not he was a literal “accessory to murder”, Alabama fans can accept that in one way or another.
See I can agree with you here, I think he should’ve been suspended a couple of games while they sorted everything out. Do I think he should’ve been kicked off the team? No, nor do I think he should’ve been arrested.
