Sorry, I did use a singular comparative adjective of "really" when I expressed how much I dislike Bruce Pearl.
Saying two people suck isn't a comparison. it is a statement. HTH You suck. That is a fact, a statement. A qualifier. You do not suck as much as Bruce Pearl. that is a comparison
Ephesians 1:7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
There are too many insane posts to quote in this thread, so I won’t. Would just like to point out that Brandon Miller’s texts indicate that he knew he was bringing a gun to the scene of a brewing altercation, though he testified later that he was unaware: https://www.al.com/crime/2025/05/te...d-in-capital-murder-trial.html?outputType=amp
Giving guns to people who are actively involved in altercations is a bad thing, and that applies to regular people on the street and to athletes. I’m still not sure Alabama fans agree with both parts, though.
I think it's unreasonable to expect Miller to know his friend was a bad guy with a gun and not a good guy with a gun
Even the ones that weren’t publicly in here defending him were doing so in the thread formerly recognized as champzy
What you said Brandon Miller said and the quote you provided do not align. Did you even read what you posted? Here is the quote. “Miller testified Thursday that he did not know Davis was about to shoot somebody with the gun that belonged to Miles. Miller also told the jury he did not know Miles had left the gun in his car until he got to the scene”
It’s hilarious how completely erroneous shit gets posted on this board and the same handful of posters start doing victory laps without realizing what was posted isnt even accurate
What he posted is indeed a direct quote from the article that references Brandon Miller acknowledging that he knew Darius Miles wanted his gun. If you read the whole article you would see that Miller said he did not know the gun was in his car, which has been the same thing stated since these details came out several years ago
Miller states he didn't know gun was in the car. Knew Miles wanted his gun. Knew Miles wanted him to come back. Plausible deniability? Sure. Chances that he actually didn't know the gun was in the car? ~10%, imo
Miller denies knowing the one thing that could put him legal jeopardy despite evidence to the contrary. That's very convenient and all Htowntide needs.
Miller has testified inconsistently. We know that. Which is more likely — the false testimony is that which could implicate him as an accessory, or that which would exonerate him?
Fair point. My initial post wasn’t correct and I will edit. That being said: “I need my gun” “bet” and “I didn’t know the gun was in my car” are not particularly persuasive.
I do wonder why he didn’t plead the fifth. I haven’t followed, but did he make a deal that involved them not charging him with anything inchoate?
I don't know how Bama fans are confused on this. I guess it's "he said he didn't know and I believe him no matter what because of his abilities and the uniform he chose"
Have you read the transcript to confirm that he has testified inconsistently? It could just be bad reporting by that Tuscaloosa News reporter. The local Patch News guy wrote that Miller testified that he didn’t know the gun was in the car until he was texted about it, not until he was on the scene. And Miller clearly had been moving towards heading that way prior to receiving that text. He actually sent his text saying he was finally heading to the Strip seconds before receiving that text from Miles.
The elements don’t directly align, so an adverse inference wouldn’t be enough for liability as a matter of law. Seems like kind of a dangerous game with a pretty high likelihood of exposure to a perjury trap.
Sure, he’s probably a fan. Which is why the transcript would be helpful to determine which reporting is accurate and if we actually know Miller testified inconsistently.
