I completely understand that. All I’m saying is that I’m hoping he can prove that he didn’t know what was going on at PSU and McQueary’s 3rd hand account of a 20 year old conversation was false. I’m willing to simply hear what he has to say. All I’m saying. He has to be able to get that behind him to have any chance of success at Tennessee. If he can’t, then I’m going to have to really reconsider my support of the program. This is my alma mater here. I’m going to give the benefit of the doubt until he answers those questions publicly.
What exactly do you have in mind? All the guy can really say is " no he's lying, I never saw anything gross in the shower." Then it's his word in a press conference against the other guys testimony in court. Will that make you feel better?
I have no idea. I’m grasping at straws here because this is a big fucking deal to the program and school that I love. I’m literally praying he can answer for himself.
The fact that Tennessee fans see this hire as a disgrace is probably the best indicator that it might actually be a really good hire.
He isn't going to be able to shake the accusation. There are plenty of other people we can hire to coach football that don't have the problem of explaining their role in ongoing child molestation.
For those of you talking about what a great recruiter he is... He has 5 kids committed this year and zero are from the south east. Good luck with that.
How can you let Campbell's buyout stop you? It's nine million. I thought they were prepared to offer Gruden 100 million? What are you even doing Tennessee?
So if Schiano is really the last ditch hire, did they not talk to Leach, Neal Brown, Fedora, Les Miles, etc.?
Volnation is just going to have to come to grips with the fact that Tennessee isn't an elite job anymore. It's not even a great job. It's a pretty good job and that's all it is. I don't see that changing.
I mean surely Schiano is a better football coach. But, he's also apathetic towards the buggery of children. It's a really tough choice.
I thought UT wasn’t a very good job from the start, but the Vols AD apparently thought less of the job than I did.
Why would I be mad you didn’t take Taggart? The only way any of us wanted him to leave is if it guaranteed chip coming back (which was never gonna happen).
So dumb to not just take Norvell over schiano. Recruits in the state and would give their offense a pulse. Tennessee is so dumb. I actually feel bad for their fans
