Here he is overseeing one of our players that was too injured to practice. He has them doing some "light work on the side"
#Florida State Seminoles Tennessee: Yesterday we reported that Phil Fulmer had interviewed a number of candidates, and 247 noted today that two guys that have met with Fulmer about the wide receivers job are former Florida State co-offensive coordinator Lawrence Dawsey and Joe Osovet, the head coach at ASA Brooklyn (JC – NY). We can confirm that both guys have interviewed.
BY! BY! Tennessee: Sources tell FootballScoop Florida director of player personnel Drew Hughes has accepted the same position at Tennessee. Well before his time at Florida, Hughes worked at Alabama as a recruiting specialist when Jeremy Pruitt was serving as director of player development.
Been saying it from the minute the word was he sabotaged the previous AD; this is all about Phil Fulmer. Pruitt is fucked.
Although, we we learned today in the Rose Bowl thread, Kirby wasn’t that great of a coach at Bama and the Bama D is much better under Pruitt. So basically the SEC is F’d
Pruitt is pretty busy with the Championship game FWIW also this is an offensive staff position, I don’t think he really cares
Wait do you think Kirby let Greg McGarity hire coaches when he was doing the exact same thing Pruitt is now?
I also imagine Fulmers experience as a head coach is a valuable resource for Pruitt to utilize while he is holding down 2 jobs at the moment. Don’t see a reason to be alarmed or think it’s strange.
Fulmer hired a guy from the Texans... a franchise that has experienced catastrophic injuries the last couple of years. I also think that guy was pretty much fired by O’Brien because no way you bring him from Penn St with you and then he chooses to go to Tennessee over staying with the Texans.
From his time at PSU, his personality seems to be a better fit for working with college players rather than professionals. That may very well be the case but I wouldn't be surprised if he left on his own.
Guarantano. We will have 3 scholarship QBs next year counting the freshman Shrout who threw 25 picks his senior year. Figured Dormady might go through spring to see if he could win the job, because he came into last year with a hurt shoulder.
Weird that we ended up with the USC offensive coordinated that wasn't Tee Martin. People who know more about these things than me think it is a good hire. Dobbs was apparently better than even the biggest UT homer thought given that he made Butch's offense look good. We didn't even feature Kamara for Christ's sake. UT fans are all in that stage where we are just happy for change. Pruitt's put together a nice coaching staff.
sounds like Florida was his likely destination until that visit This past weekend, Cordele (Ga.) Crisp County Top247 linebacker Quay Walker said he unlikely will visit Florida after adjusting his schedule to squeeze in a trip to Alabama, the team that currently holds his commitment. That did not deter the Gators as defensive coordinator Todd Grantham visited Walker on Tuesday. Now Florida is back in the mix to possibly get a visit from Walker according to a coach at his school. The Gators could get a visit on January 26 or February 2, though nothing is set in stone as of yet. In fact, this weekend is still unsettled to be honest. After bumping a Georgia visit this coming weekend in favor of Alabama, now there is a chance Walker still visits the Bulldogs on Friday instead. What we do know is that Tennessee was able to host Walker on campus last weekend. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Georgia are all fighting for trips the final three weeks of the cycle. Walker will announce his college decision on National Signing Day.
