The transition from a baby walking down the runway of an NRA fashion show to the quiet scene outside Robb Elementary absolutely destroyed me. This country fucking sucks. Also, the kid that was a fan of him from the NRA side reminds me of multiple kids I've coached over the past few years. Intelligent enough to think rationally and clearly occasionally, but still parroting talking points that they hear from their parents. "They don't have school shootings in China, because they don't have guns" but he's still at an NRA convention screaming at the top of his lungs at protesters about abortion
Watched this last night. Very rough. He does an exceptional job of painting the full picture. A long way from just letting deranged people ramble.
This was amazing “and I was molested by a doctor when I was four” “And women love to be ravished” “And I got addicted to cocaine”
Watched it last night. Thought it wad pretty good and lol at digging up the QAnon guy was a pedophile.
Spoilerish Spoiler I want to spend more time w that Q family. Document how when / how they started to realize it was all bs
I just finished the doc. I felt sad for the kids who grew up in the projects two miles away from that Atlanta family. I get the vibe that the mom and dad get the eldest son to regurgitate all this Qanon/pedophile stuff because they know it's batshit crazy and can't articulate it properly. Notice in the documentary how many people says, "the globalist are the problem." but can't explain what even is or means. It's a dog whistle for Jewish people. But even some conservative types know not to touch that topic. I really enjoyed This Place Rules. It doesn’t reveal anything new and imo doesn’t stick the landing in wrapping up its thesis, but an extended version of the Channel 5 videos with more exposition and a lot of good clips. It's crazy to think that Andrew and his crew are only 25 years old and doing better journalism than any mainstream network in the country. Go watch his interview with Don Lemon from last week if you haven't.
One final note about the Q family, I get the feeling the eldest kid is going to be a true believer for a long period of time, and his siblings (especially the daughter) will likely find all this nonsense ridiculous.
First thing I said to my wife was "those kids are either going to grow up and be the shittiest adults on earth, or one day realize their parents are insane and ruined their lives and hate them for it." I don't see any positive outcomes for either of them
I could very easily see one of the adults having an episode and ending up locked up. I really do believe that the little girl may be the only sane one with a future.
Just finished with my daughter Andrew and that entire production deserves a ton of credit for salvaging that film the way they did when he caught Covid when he did. Andrew is that guy. I relate to his work heavy
What happened? He coerced a woman into sleeping with him consensually? Am I missing a major part of the story here?
It sounds like she said no repeatedly after he kept asking. Then she finally agreed to hook up with him. I'm also curious about the other accounts of abuse.
