Not to mention offering top 10 salary and an elite city to live in. God damnit that narrative pisses me off. UVA was a mid level ACC job until Bennet showed up and now they're set for years. Fucking dumb.
Bob Valvano talks about it a lot here on the radio and compares it to how UK fans will always point to their past success regardless of the fact that they have exactly one more title than us in the past 50 years. Not that UNC and Duke haven't been better recently, but he talks about how Jimmy V would go to the barber shop and he would always hear how he would never be Dean Smith, even though he did well again Dean. Local media will do everything it can to push the narrative they want, whether it be supportive or non-supportive. And now that media is more connected the national media often times follows suit. Tonight for example, local media has said Va Tech and Georgia are similar teams, and despite Georgia losing their top scorer two minutes into the game, and Va Tech having their best shooting game in school history, UK had a better night than Louisville. In reality, Va Tech is projected by bracket matrix as an 8 seed and Georgia is the 10th team out.
Rumor has it UVA is still in chapel hill building a new practice facility for the tarheels. Just a few more bricks left
It's getting ridiculous. I have generally liked Bilas in the past but if he actually thinks this then he's a fucking tard. Dayton Ohio vs Raleigh NC, the argument ends right there before you can get it started.
Miller makes what, like 1.2 at Dayton? What's Bilas' argument exactly, easier run to the tournament? Less competition? Less expectations?
ACC recruiting since 2011 is basically Duke and everyone else. A Raleigh reporter put this together hence the NC State highlight, but it serves the purpose of providing information regardless.
Outside of Uva beating the shit out of ND the last couple years, I never really hated them or watching them play. I hate hate hate watching this Uva team. Fucking 20-19 at the half?! If they hadn't had so much recent success, I'd feel bad for our #Virginia Cavaliers friends.
UVA this year is the team everyone has accused us of being for the past couple years. No defending it, some really really bad, ugly basketball the past 8 days. Honestly some of the most pathetic performances in several years. Yes I am mad
48 points in an overtime game? What a fucking embarrassment. And that is example A why UVA will never amount to anything in March.
Yeah we should just recruit more future NBA players. Not sure why more schools don't do that actually
a stretch of awful shooting games has been rough but man reading a kentucky fan bitch about UVa basketball has really cheered me up
clemson butchers another final possession and loses by 1 at vt on the seth allen three with 3.8 left should end their at large hopes
Pretty brutal but still a lot better than what I thought Pastner would do in year 1. What does Tech's roster look like?
I love this league. It's hilarious that our local South Bend station carries random ass ACC games all the time now, and they still tend to be fun to watch.
The ACC regular season champ will likely be decided tonight when two programs who do it the right way face off. The epitome of class, morals, and looking out for the student-athlete's well being is what makes these programs the cream of the crop.
could not agree more, bing best of luck to your cardinals. us programs who do things the right way have to stick together
I'm making sure the NBA media is hearing plenty about how much Bennett sucks at offense. Mailing videos of our past week to owners. Won't sell tickets. Awful to watch. Disgusting IMO.
K vs Boeheim, Roy vs Pitino tonight. The coaching legends we have right now are pretty cool. Ten national titles and 25+ Final Fours going at it.
