Does suck bc the conference lost out on so much money this weekend, but this South Carolina game has been fun. Might as well go all out in our collective ineptitude (UNC not included)
FSU has decided to forego its collegiate eligibility and enter the draft There's a long thread on UNC's scout site about Chase Jeter transferring too that I haven't bothered to read, feel like it's a pretty safe assumption he's gone though. You're on deck Bolden.
Lol SEC, AAC, B1G, BIG EAST, PAC 12, BIG XII. WHERE ARE YOUR TEAMS NOW? YOU FUCKING LOSERS!!!! A-C-C! A-C-C! A-C-C! A-C-C! A-C-C!A-C-C!
I hope some random white for Zaga smokes a 3 bomb for the win as the red light comes on. I want to see the flood of tears on Franklin from Raleigh. . Fuck off conference pride.
you say that, but we all know, deep down, I've won you over with my luff shhhhhh, it's ok, you don't have to say a thing 's for Heels
So how's everybody looking for next year? UNC's in limbo for the time being between likely the worst roster on paper during the Roy era, or potentially another Final Four team, depending on what Berry, Bradley, and Knox do
See that's what you'd think, felt it was a safe assumption they'd both be back too. However, Bradley's starting to sneak into 1st round mocks now, and I think he'll impress in workouts. The family dialogue sounds, to me at least, like they'd prefer to declare if he gets the proper grade. The Berry train of thought seems to be that he has nothing left to accomplish, and can't really do much to raise his stock, so might as well start getting paid to play, whether that's in the D-League or overseas. Wouldn't be the first Heel upperclassman to follow a similar route in recent years. Certainly not crossing them off the roster yet, but there's a legit chance they've both played their final game at UNC.
Hard to say how the Pack will look for another month or so (not sure who else may transfer/leave/commit)
If Bradley is getting first round mocks and team tells him they'll draft him, then yea seems like he should go. I guess I get the "what else is there?" thing for berry but he isn't getting drafted so why not enjoy college and get your degree?
Several people feel good about Abu staying, but I'd assumed all along we'd lose one him, Yurtseven, or Markell. Only losing Rowan while adding Allerik Freeman and Batts would be a coup for Keatts I think.
I think UVA will be about as good as last year, with the added caveat that we have an offseason to plan for our weaknesses rather than having to reinvent the team throughout the season.
I think this Miami team should be on a similar level with the 2013 and 2016 teams that either won or contended for the ACC title. Backcourt will be strong with Brown and Newton returning and adding in Lonnie Walker and Chris Lykes. Lykes gives us a pure PG, which we lacked last year. Wouldn't be surprised, and I hope this happens, to see Newton move back into a 6th man role with Lykes/Brown/Walker starting. Vasiljevic will give us some 3 point shooting off the bench. Little more uncertain what we'll get out of the frontcourt. Hoping that Dewan Huell takes a big step forward between his freshman and sophomore seasons. Ebuka Izundu probably starts at center, and Anthony Lawrence will fill in at the 3/4- he could end up starting if Larranaga decides to go the small ball route. Not much depth behind them, though.
i'm excited/anxious for ND next year. we'll bring back acc player of the year front runner in Colson. matt farrell will have another year under his belt. rex pfleuger looked more comfortable in a starting role as the season wore on. it'll be interesting to see how we replace vasturia and (to a degree, although fuck how he ended the season) beachem. we should be once again strong from 3, which is our great equalizer. our biggest weakness will again length on the inside (we're apparently still looking for some transfers there), and depth. that said, brey has proven himself capable of navigating those issues during ACC play, so I will trust him to get us straightened out. i've seen some "pre-pre-pre-season" top 25s that have us in the top 15. that's probably a bit higher than i'd put us (although I admittedly have no idea about the rest of the cbb for next season), but there's certainly some real optimism in south bend. of course, we've generally struggled when pre-season expectations are higher so...
VT's bringing in a 5* guard next year but will probably remain undersized. Should still be pretty potent, though.
Mitchell signing really shakes things up now, lookin pretty poopy next year for some random team to claim glory *cough* Miami also it's pretty annoying this thread doesn't come up in a search when you type ACCelerated
now it just did what in the world, I hate you search maybe it's lazy and only finds it when on the first page
