They've been cleaning house for like the last year or so. They don't seem to want to have anything to do with TV shows that aren't instant hits anymore.

 

Just started red oaks, like it so far. MMM was solid. That actress did a great job.

TIL that there’s only 3 seasons. Holy crap that makes me sad

 

Loved Red Oaks. Season 3 was almost a different show though.

 

Yea Im on season 3. Sometimes main guy's face pisses me off but its a solid show.

 

Anyone watch Electric Dreams? I've really liked the three episodes I've seen so far and will watch all of them. It's nothing groundbreaking but if you like Sci-fi then you should really enjoy this series.

 

I tried watching a few of them. They raise the right questions but there's something tone wise that makes them tough for me to get through.

 

Tried watching, couldn't get further than episode two. Plot was rough and jumpy in both to me.

 

Any shows similar to red oaks I can go to next? Like that genre

 

Anyone watched Britannia? It started playing after I finished the last episode of Vikings and I’m on episode 2 and loving it. Intro is amazing as well

 

I watched Tin Star on a whim. I would not recommend that show.

 

Finally finished red oaks. Not a fan of the final season but enjoyed David’s character development

Just started season 2. Love this show

 

Just started episode 4. What. The. Fuck?

 

Finished S2 of Goliath. The show is worth watching for Billy Bob Thornton alone. Two seasons of 8 episodes makes it quick and easy.

Also, S2 is preeeeeeeeeeetty diabolical

 

I enjoyed it, but it does do the same thing as s1 in that it kind of ends abruptly and wraps up a little too neatly imo

 

10 episodes per season would've likely been perfect.

 

10-13 is pretty much the perfect # of episodes in a season. Wish it was the standard.
