I assume they consider this a win against "woke" culture and also appealing to men's rights activist types that are basically their base
The GOP is merely celebrating a rich white man getting his way since that never happens anymore. Easy to see why they’re happy
Seriously though they both seem shitty and should probably just try and get out of the limelight and attempt to enjoy life a little and move on
Seems really weird for them to chime in on the results of a civil case, but I guess that's gym jordan for you.
The GOP hates women duh i really want to be on her side but realistically I’m just rooting for them to get help and not put any of their other partners in a shit relationship again
100%. The law is absolutely in her favor. They biffed it by letting it become a battling of dueling narratives rather than going all in on the law being what it is. You decided to make it a contest of personal credibility and likability when your client is a sociopath and the opponent is one of the most beloved stars of a generation.
If there were any justice in this world they both would have won a claim of equal damages and then have to split the court costs.
I know nothing about being a lawyer, but is it possible they felt like they had to go that route because even if they won with the latter strategy, her career might be irreparably harmed by coming off as even more unlikable? iirc Katherine Heigl's career basically died once it came out that she was horrible to work with.
I don't know what exactly their gameplan was but whatever it was it wasn't a good plan and they didn't even execute very well.
listen friend, if you want to discuss #Nebraska Cornhuskers football please take it to the appropriate thread. nfm
Like someone said. Both toxic bad people. But I feel no empathy toward someone who lied about abuse and sexual abuse. She’s just a bigger bag of shit than him. Edit:I have no issue being wrong here. I may not know as much as someone else.
She wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post. Witness statements and court filings can't be used for defamation.
I don't think you should be rewarded with $15m of a former spouse's money because she claimed you beat her, which you clearly did
What’s the grievance here? They both fucked each other up, they both sued each other, they both won/lost lawsuits, and they both ruined their careers. Depp is a terrible actor and his only successes came from looking in the mirror. Heard is a blip on the radar and was famous for the wrong reasons. Win win win win imo. Hot take central over and out.
That’s fair. I just feel like he has way more misses than hits and a lot of his hits consist of Johnny Depp playing Johnny Depp. The first PotC was a revelation though.
Depp is a very good actor. Not many that can pull off Captain Jack Sparrow and a gangster believably. Too bad he seems like he sucks
I’v unfollowed any of my right wing leaning associations or whatever on IG. But my entire feed is full of pro-depp posts. Hell, one of my long time friends- my oldest lgbtq friend and fierce feminist since the day i met her- just hit me with a TEAM DEPP Won DM. Shits weird.
yea had not been following this at all, then seeing all the MAGA types on my social media championing Depp. Like a team sport. Took me a bit to realize they are against the Me Too movement.
