Didn't care for the book (I'm in the vast minority) but this looks great. Too bad we have to wait until next year. Also - Ian McShane is the perfect guy to play his role.
I know nothing of the book or series other than the preview I saw earlier today. Seems pretty good so far so maybe I'll download the audiobook and listen while I'm driving around this week.
Im in the minority, but didnt care for the book all that much. The premise is cool, just didnt like the story or how it was told, i guess. Think it could be a good TV series though.
The book I just downloaded is performed by a full cast so that might be decent. Some of these books I get from Audible get to be boring as fuck.
This was the best audiobook i'd ever listened to. it's also pretty cool because the voice actors sound REALLY similar to the TV actors. It's pretty uncanny how much Mr. Wednesday sounds like Ian McShane.
I agree with all of this. Loved the premise; could never get into the book. I am excited for the TV show as I think a lot of stuff that was hard to visualize in the book (lots of examples last night) will be cool to see on TV.
Just watched ep1 and then ep2. Had no clue about what the book/show was about, so this shit got real weird quick. Everything was just interesting storytelling in the prison and everything until the black goddess sex scene. Then we went down the wormhole. That said, I don't hate it. I'm not sure I love it, but I'm weirded out and interested for now.
I had no idea this was from a book until after I watched the first episode that had director's shit at the end in which the book was referenced. I absolutely love it. It's out there, and I believe that some of this shit is gonna start making sense to Shadow (and more importantly--me). It's up there with the Leftovers.
Didn't really care for the first 6 episodes but the last episode was really good. Actually looking forward to tonight's ep.
Yeah, now Im fairly disappointed. This season was a big ole nothing burger. I thought maybe this was a 10 or 13 ep season and we were finally gonna get somewhere.
Finally got around to watching Man, they really didn't work very hard at all to make Laura a sympathetic character. I guess that's kind of the point though.
I'd love to like this show but 90% of the time it's what the fuck is going on. Gods from every religions, half gay, super powers, dead wives, fucking hell.
